If you decide to level up one class or weapon at a time, that means that you want to do exactly that. If you level your favorite class first and bring it to lets say l 20 and play on Substancial difficulty, the game should not match you into a running game where your level 20 tactical is already played by someone else, so you are forced to pick one of your level 1 classes and be a burden to that team, that then maybe kickvote you if they think you are to low for that mission.
Right now the matchmaking is just randomly put you into a running game or into a game lobby.
The game needs some QoL changes on many aspects. With the matchmaking being the NR 1 priority.
- If you choose a class and then select quickplay or a mission, the system should only put you into a running game where your pre selected class is free. And only ask you to switch class if there is no running game with your class free. Also then there should be the option to deny entering said mission if it is not free.
- There should be the direkt and clear option if you want to join a running game or get into a lobby of 2 other players/hosting a lobby for players to join. Right now we have a system that randomly puts you:
-into a running mission taking the position of one of the bots
-into a running mission where one player left (mostly doe to the fact that they died twice and think the game is lost anyway)
-into a lobby of 1 or 2 players ready to start a mission.
-into a lobby of 1 or 2 players that finished a mission and will now have 1 or both sitting at the armory screen for the next 3 or 5 min.
-into a loady screen loop because the host just left while you were in the loading screen, making the other player the host, that then leave too making the game try to make you the host but fails because you are still in the loading screen, resulting in an error message, that the session has stopped.
Also the matchmaking leaves you without any option on what classes you get. Both for players and Bots.
If you get into a game with Assault and Bulwark, as the only range class and one of the ammo hungry weapons, you better pray that there will be no Neurothrope or even Zoanthropes at a place without a big box of ammo. Because as soon as they run out of ammo on their plasma pistols, they will no longer be able to hit those things at all.
You can not even pick what bots you want to have with you into a private solo run, making it a gamble what side classes you get. And nothing makes you rage faster than having a heavy with heavy bolter as a bot, that almost never uses the heavy bolter because he is in constand melee mode against small hordes of minoris mobs. Or a Vanguard ALWAYS using his hook right at the moment you shoot your charged shot to make sure that your shot gets blocked by his butt.
Your attitude of that's how it is, just suck it up would see us all still living in caves and banging rocks together in 2050.
At what point does OP get to decide how things should work? Do you watch a movie and when you don't like the ending you kick and scream and demand it to be changed? Do you watch a tv series and do that? How about reading a book? Do you read a book and when you don't like it you demand it be changed?
Oh but somehow a computer game, which others spent years one, millions of dollars (tens, hundreds of), oh then you get to complain and ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan and demand it be changed because you don't like it.
How is that not entitlement? Where does this mentality come from? Do you do this with other media? With art? With products? Really weird that you're kicking and screaming about a $60 product because it's not exactly as you want it. I'm absolutely genuinely asking if you do this with other products. Surely you don't, right? That's why it's entitlement. Somehow you lot have decided that specifically for computer games, no matter who made them, how long they spent on them, how much they invested in them, you're going to be petulant little children and kick and scream because it's not perfectly to your fragile sensibilities.
Grow the ♥♥♥♥ up. If you can't afford spending money on computer games that aren't to your liking then don't. Take some responsibility.
Host the game as the class you want to play as. Start the mission. Wait about 10sec-3minutes. Play with others who play different classes.
Just read the comments someone needs to either get laid or get some fresh air, and I'm not talking about the OP.
