Vanguard useless in pvp?

i think everyone knows vanguard was OP in pvp, and a nerf/rebalance was needed, no argument there, but now ever since vanguard lost a stun on the grapple kick, and the enemy is only slowed down a little, using vanguard in pvp is imo useless, i think the original stun which was way too long, the time for the stun needed to be nerfed, by my calc the stun was maybe 2 secs, i think stun should have remained, but reduced to 1 second, in multiple matches when i grapple an enemy with 50% hp and maybe 1 armor, i cant even kill him with a grapple kick and shoot/slash. yes grappling a full 100% armor and 100% hp enemy and killing him was OP, thus i agree a nerf was needed, but the way it is now, imo vanguard is trash. what you guys think?

without its stun, and grapple kick, its basically a weaker version of a sniper imo, no invisiblity, crappier gun.

your aware that if you cloack and tactical uses auspex scan and you headshot someone its a insta kill cuz you get a damage boost when you uncloack the vangaurd stun was never ment to be a thing in the first place the devs said it was a port from pve

i dont play vanguard because its boring and on the off chances i do its still boring even after patch i play assault because its more skilled and fun to play

I agree, the stun on the grapple was too much but now its too weak. Maybe they should add a quick blinding flash (like a flash bang) if you get kicked by the grapple.

you make a fair point that bolter was pretty fun but i still like assault better i got that raven guard blood in me apprantly

can you read i have played vangaurd why else would i say its boring even after patch iv clearly played it know what im talking about once had a game were i was playing bulwalk went 0/5 swapped to vanguard after death and went 26/8 because of the stun from grapple yes if you say vangaurd is useless you relied on grapple stun

change ur playstyle, i can still flank with vanguard and just strafe side to side in front of players and not even lose HP cuz they miss their shots + combining with a stun helps if you have a nade on you

yes, flanking would work great, ive seen many players flanking behind enemies, and using grapple almost more for escape than attacking, could work thanks

Why flank with vanguard when assault and sniper are better at it. Both of their abilities are a lot better for getting in close and also for escaping then the hook.

i know, just a bit sad of them making a class almost useless in pvp imo.

I played all classes equally and the vanguard in pvp right now is useless. The class was meant to punish those that stray too far from their team, and was a hard counter to heavies and bulwarks, who's abilities and weapons are way stronger, especially in objective matches. Snipers with clock and smg bolters where and still are way stronger and is the new go to class.
