Opinions on Shock Grenade in PVP?
I imagine I am not the first one to post about this. But, the shock grenade having 4 effects Flashbang, Slow, Slow Turning Aim, and Dot damage, while all the other grenades only have 1 is unfair. Except krak, at least that sticks, but if you are Tactical and throw 2 on one person, it only counts as one I have noticed so that kind of sucks.

Giving everyone an accessible disable/panic button that essentially turns on discord light mode against your will really doesn't make the PVP feel good at all. Especially, when a whole team is using them. You literally cannot do anything because you can't see half time and the flashbang lasts so long you are already dead before your brain even registers what is happening most of the time. Creating situations where a person literally cannot do anything but spray and pray feels cheap.

It is the one situation where there is not really any counter-play or adaption you can use to deal with it and I feel sours the experience of PVP and people are using it as a crutch.

Just wondering if anyone else shares the same view or feels the same since it really is the only thing that makes the PVP feel really bad.

It's best to bait them out or have good situational awareness in case you get blinded.
If you get blinded, you gotta accept it and roll out of there. Knowing where to roll to get back into cover from memory is life saving.

Knowing where your allies are around cover can turn your potential end into a trap for them since you can always predict they're going to try and follow you.

I'm okay with it blinding, slowing, and dotting. It's the slow aim turning that is way too much.

Yea I also mentioned this in my long list of thing to improve for PvP. Compared it to CSGO's grenades where each one has its own function (frag = damage, smoke = vision, molotiv = damage, flash = blind)

i think it is OP, it needs to do self damage and blinding, too many times you get into melee for your opponent to drop one blinding and slowing you only for them to put a bolter in your face. i got called pathetic when i created a thread about it, people like cheap tactics. it was turning games into distance gun fights with people unwilling to push in.

It is disappointing that it feels like the one weakness a space marine has is a shock grenade, all the enemies of the imperium of man need to do is use shock grenades to stop the emperor's finest warriors
