Bulwark pvp Shield Bash

Whats the point of doing a shield bash in pvp? Somebody can clarify this to me? Wasnt it supposed to stun the enemy? Its half of what makes a bulwark shine. Lets take the jetpack stomp form jackpack dude. What about that?

As someone who played Bulwark there is no advantage of using shield bash and it does less damage than your melee. Melee in general is just spam light until the other person dies, there is no depth at all and it needs to be addressed.
