No Exp For Weapon?

So I’ve been having crazy connection issues while trying to play today. I finally managed to join a lobby, and we started from the barge and went through Operations Mission 1 from start to finish. I was using the bolt carbine on the sniper class the entire time, and when we got to the end of the operation, it went through the stat screens but skipped the EXP screens. When I checked the weapon EXP in the armoury to see if it had increased, it was still exactly the same at 7500.

Just wondering if anyone else has had that or a similar issue today?

Did you unlock the next rarity? so say if its green and is maxed out in the green exp if you dont have purple unlocked yet you wont get exp for the weapon till you unlock it

Yeah, everything for the Artificer tier is unlocked, so the tier is unlocked, all the versions of the weapon are unlocked, and I had already used the tokens to max out the versions for the purple tier. Also, I had the purple weapon equipped during the mission.

Definitely something fishy going on there—unsure if it’s just due to the really bad connection issues today or something else.

Prolly the really bad connection then cause i've heard of it happening to someone else when the connection was rocky that day. Sorry that happened to you man. I know they are trying to fix the connection issues among other things. Hopefully you won't experience again in the future.

Yeah, it is what it is, unfortunately, but it’s definitely interesting to know someone else might have had that happen before since I hadn’t heard of anyone having issues with it so far. Good to know. Hopefully, they sort it out sooner rather than later.

Seen alot of people with problems with weapon exp, I don't think i've had it myself unless i've just not payed attention to the numbers. but the common denominator seems to be lack of gaining exp after using a token to master a weapon rather than grinding the exp.

A friend who had the problem gained no exp for one of the sessions we were playing, but then gained exp the next day. Maybe closing and reopening the game would force it to recognise the token purchase change and let you start gaining it again?

I just had this issue and it was even weirder
Lvl 12 tactical, running ruthless inferno. weapon is purple tier stalker bolter, just upgraded so 0 exp, secondary and sword are fully maxed. The run finishes and the exp window shows "Tactical level 25" and no weapon exp.
After it loads back to barge i check, my tactical is now 14, so i got the class exp, went to check weapon and still 0 exp

I did manage to get a game a few days later after that happened, and it gave the EXP for the weapon like it should. Definitely not sure what the cause is, but try rebooting the game before another run if this happens, just to be safe. It might help.
