Very subtle and initially easy to look, but hard to un-see once noticed.
That, and the campaign-related voice acting are the biggest immersion breakers to me when going for chapters with a very specific/non-codex identity.
Rly kind of makes one wonder why they even gave us customization at all for anything
God, you're dumb
Ya I was worried about that too. I was hoping it was like the shoulder pad that could be used across classes...
Ya I noticed that with a few pieces of armor I tried to unsee it but eventually just stopped using them. Really dont understand why they would do something like that for armor thats on a season pass. Making armor for everyone makes a lot more sense.
even though most things except for the Phobos stuff would be interchangeable for many classes
lol
As for the Ultramarine parts; You're playing as Ultramarines and the first armor pack was said to be Ultramarine related on the roadmap.
edit: but of course that depends on what specific part of the armor we are talking about.
like for example while you can equip non gravis pattern helmets on the heavy class i dont think that you will be able to equip non gravis pattern breastplates.
I guess for PvP it *might* make sense, but playing operations really feels like you are indeed just playing Ultras (I mean it's a nice touch that all the classes even have a name and a "personality"), so it's a legitimate question why i am allowed to pretend to be a <Insert Chapter> when I'm actually not.
It just feels off, and the complaint if you want to call it that is that the devs or the supervisors or whoever is responsible just went "Yeah, whatever, here, have some colors. You're still Ultramarines though".
Something just doesn't mesh well to the point that I have indeed made one Ultra for all the classes because literally everything else feels silly.
And whohoo, I was dumb enough to go for the season pass so now I can look forward to dressing up more as a Dark Angel but really still play an Ultra.
At the end of the day, fair enough, ignore that the commands are coming from Ultra officers and avoid Ultra specific voice emote wheel items and it's fine.
I just wish they had put more thought into this.
I think you should put more thought into this yourself.
I was expecting more for a dlc linked to a season pass. It would've made more sense to have microtransactions if they were going to make the armors so chapter specific. Removing the possibility of another chapter using dark angels or ultramarine armor pieces is just plain dumb and short sighted.
Ya that's kind of where I'm at at this point too. If I had known how limited the armor selections would be for the season pass I would have never gotten the gold edition.
Its really not asking too much for them to not put on chapter specific icons on season pass armor.
