Depending on if you need armoury data killing the terminus threat might be worth it. Otherwise it's mission 1 ignore everything but the objectives and get the strongest player to carry your seed.......lol
It's a huge pain in the ass for sure. With my sniper I focused on getting my bolt pistol maxed out since it's the only choice of secondary and I've been doing substantial to level my primaries. You get the xp based on the mission stages. So if you use one weapon through the first 3 stages and each stage gives 100xp and you use a different weapon through the last 4 stages, the first weapon you used will get 300xp and the second will get 400. The actual numbers will vary by difficulty, I just used 100 for simplicity.
XP only for completing Operations and carrying the Gene-Seed -> More Operations -> More XP.
Its just not running to the end, its just finishing the mission the fastest. I mean technically you can run the lowest mission difficulty and get less xp but it will be so fast vs other difficulties your having problems with that it just adds up overtime.
Or like i said just hope some high lvls join up in your missions and just helps you railroad thru it.
That would be much worse, there'd be constant competition for killing mobs. Or people would have to just play solo to level their weapons.
Not sure why "play to progress" is such bad design?
Your question was about the efficiency of upgrading the gear, not the "missions design".
Now you have made a new discussion complaining about mission design. Have you even played the game?
If you get xp for killing mobs everybody will play the game normally. Theres is no rush.
People are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you can't win. This way, weird as it is, at least promotes getting the job done. Pretty sure that I hit the reason for this on the head, because people being people you'd have 2 out of 3 lobbies not progressing and just waiting for hordes.
Oh nonsense, very few people speedrun through maps without killing stuff. I've encountered one such group in 60+ hours of playing with randoms. One. One single group that did a speedrun.
