Which chapter do you paint your space marine as and why?

Just curious. I like to go with Nova Marines since they fit the ultramarine aesthetics while looking unique(ish) and it'd make sense lore-wise for them to show up. They tend to spread out and help others. I would do Lamenters but they aren't possible yet.

Also, Alpha legion for chaos because they fit everyone, including stealing people's battle cries...and also Alpha Legion for loyalist snipers just to REALLY confuse people.

I had a full 6000 point Eldar army painted exactly as the codex (a near perfect 1:1 set I painted in my teens). I then went for Space Marines and had Dark Angels and Deathwing units (4000 points). Then ended up with Space Wolves (4000 points).

ultramarines or deathwatch black shield/deathwatch black templar until they add the eye lense customization.

my favorite chapter are the blood ravens since DOW introduced me to 40k but it just does not feel right without the green eye lenses on most classes.

Depends on the class, my Assault is Iron fists, using the metal hand and the first helm as it fits the theme.

Bulwark Ultra Marines, Unless they change the banner to other chapters.

Vanguard Death watch/ Imperial fists. IF, veteran markings, wanted at least one DW.

Tactical and heavy my own colour scheme, but also run Heavy as Black Templar.

Sniper is Space wolf's as I tend to play him as a hunter.

Not really lore accurate with the reason for the paint jobs I know but I just went with what little lore I know (which does need improving)

My go to would be Dark Angels, but with the cosmetic pack coming (which for me is a bit steep in cost)

I originally had Tactical and Sniper as Raven Guard (HVT elimination), Assault and Vanguard as Hawk Lords ("air" (maneuverability) superiority), Bulwark as a custom pure white with gold trim and emblem, and heavy with custom Khorne red with lighter red trim and emblem.

I've recently switched all of my classes to Raven Guard with Ironhands Steel black, white helmet (sergeant), white pauldrons/black emblem (veteran). Just waiting for my beaky helmets to arrive. And maybe a mod to add Raven Guard wings to my Assault's jump packs in pve.

I typically do Blood Ravens. But for my main? I do my homebrew chapter, as it's based off my cat. He lives on in a dreadnought, and lives on in spirit

depends really. assault went with death company as close as i could anyway, tactical as close as i can to luna wolves, bulwark havent decided yet im thinking deathwing and so on

i just wish we had more decals and even better the option to use custom ones. would love to make lamenters
