What Transfers Between PvP & Coop?
I wanted to save the campaign and the coop for time with friends, but I wanted to know how much I can do for myself in PvP. I assume Heraldry transfers over, and probably armor, but what else? Does Veteran/Class level mean anything in Coop?

Nope thats your overall pvp level for all classes. Only armor cosmetics really transfer.

That's it. Veterancy Level is PvP only and Class Level is separate between PvP and Co-Op. Likewise Co-Op's weapon unlocks and perk tree skills are not carried into PvP. Only cosmetic unlocks are shared and even then your appearance for your Space Marine classes are separate between the two modes. If you unlock a new armor on one, you need to equip it on the other if you want them both to look the same.

Ah, so if I unlocked a later armor set, I'd need to make sure I put it on my co-op marine instead of it automatically being there? And in general then, the only thing that's really valuable in the PvP, at least for cosmetic unlocks, are wins then, especially for whatever class I'm trying to get stuff for?

pvp is its own reward. This is not an MMO. Even in an MMO where there is unique rewards tied specificially to RANKED pvp; PVP is still it own reward. If you hate PVP then any kind of reward is not a justification to force yourself to do it. You aren't missing out on anything

Correct, you unlock the armor in one and it unlocks for the other mode. But if you put it on in PvP for Bulwark as an example and go to Operations. You will find the new unlock is unlocked to wear, but your Bulwark is not wearing it.

Also correct, if you lose in PvP you get nothing torward new armor in PvP and Operations but you do get Veterancy Level and levels for the class in PvP only. If you switch classes in PvP and play more than one class and get a win though you get exp and progress toward the next gear upgrade for all classes you earned points with.

Gotcha. So without going too deep in the campaign or coop, I just have to hope to win matches in PvP, ideally with as many classes per match as possible?

In theory to unlock cosmetics, yes. That is the fastest way to get every armor piece in the game. PvP is faster than doing operations but you don't have the guarantee youwill succeed. Operation success is generally guaranteed unless you're upping difficulty and can certainly be farmed on lower difficulty with a guarantee you will always make progress torward new unlocks. You also can get the gene seed in Operations which gives a big Exp boost for Operations levels only and is well worth tracking down if it spawns along with Armory Data.

Understood. I'm mostly trying to get stuff to flex in coop whenever I get to be able to do that with my friends, since they're still waiting on getting the game. It being cosmetic only is fair enough.

There is a bit of a grind to unlock every armor piece for all classes so switching around in PvP has it's perks and advantages but if the goal is to only unlock cosmetic armor, speedrunning Operation 1 with the bots goes somewhat fast and guarantees you will always make progress. Though you can only do one class a run and I can imagine that getting stale.

Just to check, is the cosmetic you get from PvP based on the one you finished the mode with, or does it affect all of the ones you played? I tried swapping through a bunch of classes in a couple of matches and only got one piece of armor per match. It almost sounded before like you could unlock multiple at once.
