Un-lobotomise teammate bots
Teammate bots are too stupid to be viable. Even if you have two real people, using them is still cancerous.

They do near 0 damage to bosses like the carnifex (Seriously, I had a sniper bot on my team the other day who was continuously shooting and it just did 0 damage), and the player ends up running out of ammo trying to deal with the boss.

There's also some kind prioritisation going on that makes enemies always target the player and completely ignore the bots. The only thing they're useful for is reviving in their current state. We need some kind of rudimentary order system that can be operated using the comms menu, and to at LEAST be able to choose what class the bots are.

preaching to the choir brother, I look forward to the day I can choose my bot classes. Instead of working with what the game gives me. Some team setups just don't seem to synergize well.

I can feel you brother. Best you can try is use them as bait, theyre great to tank damage and its not 100% reliable since how enemies priorize human vs bots... room to improve.

Didn't devs say they would make squad bots more agressive? I thought the last patch would improve the bots.

they did make them better but they're still kinda meh. They're way more likely to execute now instead of letting enemies recover.

Would be nice if they had perks and better weapons based on the difficulty.

i've had real trouble getting the bots to take any damage. any tricks to get enemies to focus them? they also just kind of run around in circles while i'm ducking and weaving attacks, not actually holding their ground and fighting. a bit disappointing as this kills the PvE part of the game for me. heaps of people are grief kicking still at higher difficulties and it kind of sucks as the only time i can play is with my friends...

They're better (barely) but seen them run about like headless chickens more than once or just stand there doing nothing.

It truly seems the enemy AI just solely focuses on the player. I've had entire swarms just pass them and come straight to me and my companions are just standing here doing something.

Having a Bulwark and a Sniper bot at least provides some utility and some damage. That is until a boss fight, when they just stand around looking at stuff. Sometimes bosses will switch their aggro to bots for a bit, so they are semi-useful damage sponges at times.

It really would be nice to be able to pick your bot classes. I'd pick sniper and bulwark every time.

Or better yet use your own other classes loadouts or even looks. So you can equip not just for yourself, but also be used then by bots.

This has been the gist of it for me.

I tried a couple solo games the night I had my wisdom teeth taken out. Figured that, between all the changes, I'd be able to handle it myself on one of my level 1 characters.

On every attempt, in every wave, I was constantly staring down 5 - 10 warriors and every 'gaunt in the swarm running straight at me, sometimes with micro-bosses like lictors and raveners focusing on me. I couldn't even get a good look at what the bots were doing because I had to spend so much of it rolling backwards.

Getting misloaded into Decapitation so I could fight the hive tyrant by myself as a level 1 Bulwark - well, I was asking myself if I wanted to just go find more teeth to get pulled instead.
