So ultrawide support is just 16:9 stretched with the vertical truncated?
I've held off buying the game until UW is added. I never trust the "we'll add it by the end of the month" response. Fool me once and all that. It seems they didn't actually add any UW support but just stretched the image and then chopped off the vertical. Is there any work around? I heard there was a mod, but it seems that no longer works. Has anyone tried Flawless Widescreen? I'm just blown away that this is so difficult in 2024.

I have heard varying reports about 21:9. Can anyone confirm whether this is actually working or is it that players aren't noticing the vertical removal in 21:9 since it will obviously be less than 32:9?

21:9 works without problems, 32:9 unplayable.

there seems to be some issues so the safe thing is to wait for another patch.

or you can just try it yourself and refund if it doesn't work.

yes. just started the game again after the patch and surprise surprise, the whole thing is just stretched on the horizontal (not even cropped on the vertical, which makes it even more comical.

I don't know how it's working for you. I'm also on 21:9 (3440x1440 to be precise).

I'm so glad I am not the only one that noticed this. I opened up the game again so excited to not be playing in a down scaled resolution and changed to my UW Res: 43:18 (3440x1440)
Loaded into my first match and experienced the black rage once realizing it was a bunch of bull****, a band-aided fix by stretching and cutting off parts of the screen in weird ways, blowing up loading screens to fill the entire screen but then losing parts of the scene entirely due to this like what the ****

if it stretched on first boot, it's probably set to the wrong resolution. swapping resolution and or windowed/fullscreened usually fixed that kinda stuff.

deleting the settings file to to force the game to recheck your defaults can also help.

Thanks, I just picked up the game and it seems to work fine on 21:9.

here's hoping they relook at this ultrawide approach (and probably FoV as a result)

3440x1440 here, works perfectly fine.

The UW FOV needs some work, but it shouldn't be "stretched".
The only condition in which that currently happens is if you try to use Dynamic Resolution.

Really hope the devs are aware of the 32:9 issue. I can't even set a 21:9 resolution, let alone want to. It should not be like this!

thanks for this, I was using dynamic resolution and it was really annoying when the stretching happened

yeah, there is no native Ultrawide support, the devs just hacked a mod into their game and left it... basically stole someones work and are passing it off as a real fix. embarrassing that Games Workshop(warhammer) don't take their brand seriously
