Other than that, it's mostly a question of how comfortable you are with (frequently) failing as you learn the combat basics between normal and veteran, and how long you want the second half of the campaign to take once you've mastered them.
But the game did had some difficulty spikes here and there
Mostly it involves missions where you need to protect something....and then comes 2 Zoanthropes
So Normal Difficulty could help you understand the game mechanics without too much frustration
If you manage to breeze through Protect The Reaktor mission without too much rage - you can switch to Angel Of Death - because it really is not that difficult once you know how the game works
If that's how bad average difficulty is, than this game is arguably harder than Souls games. You really stand no chance at all of winning, The complete lack of a health regen mechanic makes each mission an attrition warfare experience, where you are guaranteed to die multiple times. And I haven't even tried the higher difficulties yet. Oh, and don't forget that unless you have a full squad of players, if the players die, the match ends, even if the bots are still alive. And you lose everything you worked for in the match.
The game seems designed to frustrate the player and destroy the will to play the game. The campaign is a lot of fun, but good lord do they need to fix the coop mode.
im a dumbass then because i was under the impression they had a pvp system akin to the first game...sadface
