What is with the tyranids after beating chaos?
Spoiler alert, at some point chaos space marines come into play and want to cause trouble. So far so good, but I wonder what about the Tyranids after the Chaos space marines show up?

When the Thousand Sons appear, the Tyranids are no longer mentioned, the Ultramarines are completely focused on chaos and the two enemies of humanity also seem to ignore each other.

What particularly bothers me is that after the Thousand Sons have been defeated, it is no longer explained whether the Tyranids have now been repulsed or what has now happened to the planets. Then Titus is simply sent on a new mission and everyone is happy.

A happy end in Warhammer...

They continue eating the planets.

Given that the one big hive ship is taken out in one mission and that the hive tyrant is taken out in another, they might not have a connection to the hive mind anymore.

If that is the case the imperial guard can likely mop them up, that said would have been nice if this was at the very least mentioned.

I don't think the nids are finished, but yeah, would have been better to have an update on the state of the invasion after the Thousand Sons are repelled.
I think after the ceremony with Titus getting his battle honors, Acheran and the 2nd company is back to fighting the nids. I imagine the cadians need all the help they can get.

if you've paid attention to the dialogue and what you were doing. their hivemind got killed which killed all the tyranids connected to it. those that didn't get killed probably are just running loose now like wild beasts instead of one big mind making them have tactical descisions and stuff. which basically means they are easier to be killed by the guard.
The Ultramarines 2nd company is sticking around to keep fighting the Nids and Titus is being redeployed to Chapter Master Calgars strike force.
Also in Operation 3 you can see Tyranids and Thousand Sons fighting in the distance and there is even a part where they can be fighting each other in the level itself (they are really bad at killing each other)

Probably the marines will keep killing them. If they win or get annoyed and go exterminatus on the planet is up to whoever gets to write the story forward.

Also it requires an insane amount of biomass in order to form another Tyrant and that first Tyrant death + the destruction of the hive ship sent a hell of a synaptic shock through the rest of the horde. They're recovering and since the hive city has been taken over by them my guess is biding their time.

Well, we are getting more Ops and an Horde mode, no?
Only Titus and Leandros left with Calgar, the rest of the 2nd company stays in the system to fight with the Guard.

While we have closed the Warp Fissure, the TS didn't disappear out of thin air, we simply stopped their reinforcement. Same with the Nids, we killed the Tyrant, but we don't know the size of this Hivefleet. Yes, *some* Nids went feral, but this doesn't exclude that another Tyrant could be made or that others can take its place.

And that you literally fire a nova cannon round into the swarm in one of the objective missions, after the majority of them were eliminated with a prometheum explosion in an earlier mission, and setting them against the Chaos Marines....
