Private mode is broken

Regularly it tries to perform matchmaking anyway while enabled, and the only fix for this I've found is completely quitting out to the Title Screen. Stopping matchmaking doesn't fix it, swapping modes doesn't fix it, picking a different mission doesn't fix it.

Might be related or not but I'll sometimes load up the game and someone will have joined my lobby even though I haven't selected an operation yet.
