How about you take the time you took writing this walltext of stupidity and search for actual therapy instead?
DT also NEEDED a lot more time post release to make the game what it is today. Only with the recent weapon progression overhaul would I say it now feels like its features are fairly well fleshed out. SM2 needs more content, but it's not missing significant chunks of features like DT was on release.
In any case, I like both games. More than enough room to enjoy both.
Took them 2 years to basically get the game at what it should have been at launch, they tried 3 times to rework the weapon progression system and its still not cutting it.
The gameplay while in mission can be cool, but everything else sucks and they added all that mtx on top of it.
Its quite sad because now theres barely 4k people playing that game daily before this update and all that's left are overzealous fanboys who swear that the game is perfectly fine the way it is.
Also in 2 years they added 2 new maps to the game and thats it.
Agreed. Darktide is finally fleshed out after the latest addition. That said, most complaints about the game (including this one imo) all only came to light ENDGAME. Let that detonate in your brain for a second: Most people thoroughly enjoy Darktide until they hit level 30 and then felt it became an unnecessary grind. That's literally dozens of hours in, which explains the ridiculously entitled and hypocritical 100+ hours negative reviews.
SM2, on the other hand, showed me absolutely everything it had to offer after the tutorial, which was a painful realization when the campaign credits rolled 6,5 hours later.
Darktide was already a great game in the beta with is core gameplay alone and i would prefer it always over SM2 so far. But that does not mean that SM2 could not improve. But i think that Saber is lacking the motivation, passion and ideas to come even close to what Darktide is. Darktide is like ... You know what, you should read the dev blog of Darktide to get it. I give you one example of it ...

Saber is miles away from something like this !!!
Go back to that MTX riddled grindfest with lacking customization
We need another darktide, but this time made by a AA studio that isn't a greedy with a established fanbase that supports them in their bad behavior, also please get rid of the quirky millenial type characters, i want to be a professional guardsman/tempestus scion, not whatever the ♥♥♥♥ the darktide characters are
Mainly because SM2 is full of bugs, connection problems that make you lose all your progression, and still a combat system that needs a lot of polish. I know that it has just been released, but, man, IT COSTS 60 fraggin euros.
When you charge 60 euros for a game, IT HAS TO BE FINISHED when released. IT HAS TO BE.
The problem is that games companies made selling unfinished, unpolished games for 60 euros THE STANDARD.
That stupid market policy must end ASAP.
By the way, yesterday DArktide rolled out the latest update and it was fantastic, rehauling the weapon itemization system completely, making the game a lot more enjoyable. THe patch got several problems, but most of them were adressed YESTERDAY AFTERNOON in a hotfix.
GAmpleay mechanics >>>>>> customization.
And gameplay mechanics from Dt >>>>>>> SM2.
Fact.
Unfinished games costing 60 euros is the standard because people let it be the standard.
They know they can do it because people still buy it and worse defend it. The whole cycle continues forever
1. It's in beta, it will be fixed on release!
2. It's only just released, it will be fixed in the next patch!
3. It's still broken, but at least it's better than it used to be!
4. They'll fix it in the next game! I will pre-order it!
