Doesn't really matter, ripping out something that was already in the game to sell it later is infact illegal here in the EU, so if they really do put it in one of the premium DLC, they might face a lawsuit that they simply can't win, of course that would mean someone is willing to actually sue them, wich is another problem of our justice system, it's all about ressources and money and nothing else

So do I have to pay extra for a single color?

Silver and bronze are also available for the main pieces of armor, why not gold?
It's probably included in this extra game pass, which currently costs 40€ ?

Problem is it was only in the game as an oversight, possibly a glitch. The color that used to be gold was labelled "Iron Warriors," and if you're familiar with 40k, the Iron Warriors wear a bare-steel silvery iron color, which is what it was changed to. The patch notes for the change note that it was incorrectly switched with Auric Armour, and another color, Celestra Grey, was also incorrectly in the game under the label of another color.

if its not lore accurate its likely to see more colors vanish or be un-selectable i see zero problems here.
40k is a little strict with this stuff thankfully, or we would see Call of Duty clown suits running around and no one wants that.

Yes, and the fact that my blood angels can't have gold helmets kinda makes this army painter a bust. Dawn of war 1 has more options.
