it's annoying i agree, they should have at least 1 gold option to replace it (for main armour not jus trim)- the iron warriors colour was incorrect though, so that's fine to fix it.

ushabti bone is also the wrong colour now too, it's changed from bone to a goldish colour

Yes, completely.
I understand if you can't upgrade your class to a lord (with the equipment of a lord) but if you do, you have silver and bronze for the main equipment, like bodies.

Then why not gold?

Yes, they did, my gold armor was replaced with silver armor after the update.

I would also like to understand why they are so against gold armor.

It’s not everything it’s one insignificant thing and I would think most of us are switching colours as we unlock them

I would think most of us want our favourite chapter colours
(also not to be limited to GW factions for "lore" reasons, when some of us are from an age where you could paint your army what ever you want and make your own chapters)

they also broke the trim paint so that they display now as a shade of gold, there was a bone colour i used on my Deathwing knock off that is now a shade of gold.

I have a feeling that shade of gold wasn't supposed to be in game yet as maybe after the dark angels season ends the next one would be blood angels which have a gold helmet color scheme depending on rank if I remember correctly?
