Why is this games performance so bad.
A game like Darktide has better graphics, far more enemies on the board at once, just as gorey but runs 2x better than SM2? I can barely hold 60fps on this but can hold well over 100 on DT

As much hate as I've gotten I'll reiterate my experience here. I have had no performance issues aside from one crash way back when and I can't even blame it necessarily on the game as I had Alt tabbed a few tikes during a load screen and it caused it to lock up. My pc isn't a super computer or anything either. I know many are having issues but my experience so far has been entirely the opposite aside from connectivity issues

Weird, connectivity isnt so bad for me however the game just has ♥♥♥♥♥ FPS. I should have no problems on an i7 12700k, rtx 3070ti, 32GB ram, game installed on SSD. This is the only game where I cant hold 60fps NO MATTER WHAT settings I choose. Every other game in my library runs at least 70-80FPS. Darktide I RARELY dip below the 90s. Yesterdays update just made it worse.

Just looked at the minimum requirements (lol) and either A: They're a lie or B: They designed and optimized the game around 30fps gameplay. (30FPS gaming has been dead for like 10 years)

Yeah I've seen many many posts and replies on threads in here from people with far stronger pcs then me having issues that I myself am not having. I have no clue why but I'll be real I had the same experience with cyberpunk on launch. My game then ran better then the majority experienced and now it's doin the same in SM2
Can't remember what processor I have off the top of my head but I'm using a 2080

♥♥♥♥ even cyberpunk ran flawless for me at launch. It just upsets me, I really like the game outside of its performance issues and right now the game just feels like a huge waste of $60. How the update made performance worse, despite lowering the enemy count is beyond me but its worse.

I too would be very frustrated and annoyed if I was having the same kinds of issues after an updated geared towards helping fix em. The game is hella fun and not being able to play it due to things out of your control is never good optics

I have good performance honestly. 3080ti
5900x
1440p no dlss. Just Native TAA
80-100 fps

Ill have to try swapping DLSS for that or FSR. I have not fiddled with those settings. DLSS is usually the best option for performance (on my end) so I just stuck with it.

Sounds to me like there is nothing wrong with your System. Sorry to hear you have so much FPS problems. Me and my GF have worse Systems but have stable 60fps+ on 1440p. Hope you can solve it soon, maybe otherwise refund if you are under the 2 hour mark? Good Luck solving this :praisesun:

Exactly the same. No performance problems at all. I just had a redping one time.

Also running 1440p. Unfortunately Im well past it. 30-40 hours or something. I do still play it just infuriates me feeling my FPS drop to 38 when ♥♥♥♥ gets chaotic.

Darktide ran like ♥♥♥♥ when it came out too.

I remember that being a thing, even then it wasnt 30-40fps. I NEVER got less than 50-60 in darktide, even at release. That was with an i7-6700k and 1070ti. Hell, after all the optimizations (I just recently got this 12700k) my 6700k with the 1070ti was always running 60-80fps. SM2 has no where near the enemy density that DT has, its absolutely inexcusable for a game that has the "Minimum requirements" that are posted. That is unless they geared the game toward 30FPS because for SOME god awful reason 90% of game devs forgot how to optimize a game and just crutch their performance on DLSS or FSR. Darktide included, that game will NOT run 60fps without DLSS on. I remember on Destiny 2 and cyberpunk, DLSS brought 80FPS games to 120+ no problem. Now DLSS is just a crutch for poor optimization.

Campaign? My framerate drops below 60 since the patch. (if I play on native 1440p)
