Choosing Bot Classes for Solo Operations
It's a fantastic addition that solo players can now host private lobbies to guarantee loading in without randoms. However, the issue is that if you want a specific squad makeup, you have a 5% chance of getting precisely that setup, which means you rely on pure chance to get the squad you want. Why not let the players choose the classes of the bot(s) you load in with? It makes no sense to forbid players from doing that.

I cannot see a single GOOD thing about randomised classes for bots in solo Operations. So if any of you can convince me I'm wrong, please do.

Considering even the sniper literally does 0 damage to the bosses, you know the thing it supposed should be good at hurting, I dont think whatever class you pick is going to help you much any way.

Reality is, bots are at best of times just drones which get people up after they hit the ground.

What has that got to do with the player being able to select the classes of the bots? If I want to play as a Sniper, why should I rely on random chance to get a Heavy and a Bulwark to absorb tons of damage? Why not just let me choose both of the bots myself?

This is only one example but it applies to literally any class setup for a squad. Do you think players SHOULDN'T be able to choose the bots? And if yes, why?

Heavy bot will carry your team for you while you focus on keeping yourself alive. I'd say that's the one you should aim for and just deal with whatever other bot you get.

Nah.
It's hardly different from the average player.
Doing hardest difficulty and I hardly notice a difference between player Bulwark and Bot-Bulwark.
Well, there is one difference, the boss is always at 90-100% hp.

How does this answer the post? Do you think players should or should not be able to choose what classes the bots are? Do you think it is better for it to be random. And if yes, why?

The difference between a bot and the average player isn't relevant to the choice in question though. Should players be able to choose the bot classes or not? With players you can communicate or set up a squad online or with friends and then get exactly what you want every time. But with bots it's random. Do you think that is better than giving the player the option of choosing the bots?

Dude... not every post in your thread has to be about you.
That being said, it indirectly supported your claim anyway - whats your problem.

My problem is that so few people are capable of actually addressing the topic of any discussion, even and especially when it is stated directly. Not one person has addressed whether it would be good or bad to let the player choose the bot classes or why they think that way.
And it's not just in this thread, I see it everywhere online. Which is why I've deliberate with how I ask questions here. And as for the comment not "being about me". I can comment and respond to anyone at any time, just like you can. Why is that even an issue?

Bot class preferance setting with them having our progression/selection for each class weapon, armour, perks and mastery points would be a great call to keep pve players happy in the long term.

Yup, being able to choose what bots you get would be great.

This needs to happen. Works great in Vermintide 2
