Bullet sponge is bad lazy game design and doesn't increase game difficulty.
They should change the game name to "Warhammer 40k: Astra Militarum", because it doesn't feel like im playing with a Space Marine firing Bolters 19mm explosive bullets or swinging a massive thunder hammer

To increase difficulty they should make AI learn with player behaviour, add more mechanic intensive boss battle; Why a chaos marine eat x10 more bullets than the player astartes? What logic is behind that? SM2 bolters feel like nerf guns and meele weapons feel like made of cardboard.

The damage is perfect in pvp but in pve they really f up.

I agree. Enemies take too many shots. Could easily be halved and the game would be fine. Melee or ranged.

Found nothing about Mob hp being reduced or weapon damage being buffed.

The fact that youre getting emotional over bullet sponge enemies is really sad lol. Bullet sponge enemies have always been bad game design and nothings gonna change that.

I'd have preferred more difficulty to scale using bigger, more aggressive hordes and maybe a couple of extra enemy types.

The number of enemies (which they have now reduced) was never the issue imho

That's not an example of "bullet sponges" why would an enemy unit that's meant to be an elite in a horde shooter have the same health as the player?
