Latest patch keeps saying Corrupted files and has to redownload

My internet hasn't dropped out or anything so I don't know why its downloading corrupted but was anyone else able to successfully patch their game and play?

I've read on another community post that it's because of the antivirus flagging a file as a virus.

I uninstalled and it kept me giving the same error, the second I disabled my antivirus I could download again.
I suggest making an exception for the whole game folder on your antivirus

Man this is like the only game that is getting flagged I wonder why but ok ill try it

Yeah, probably antivirus related false positives. Mine flags 'saber_symstore.exe' as being infected whenever i tried to download the patch for space marines 2.

I turned off my antivirus for the install but im still getting the same error so i guess i cant play anymore. I really feel like this company has no idea what they are doing its been such a messy release for this game

I've had this problem with other games on steam. The downloader gets an error for seemingly no reason and I had to look up "steam keeps validating and updating"

Ya that helped me figure it out i just deleted and reverified and it loads up now

I found a solution somewhere else here in the forums but I can't find it again for the life of me.
The main issue is a file called saber_symstore(dot)exe
Your Anti-virus might be flagging it as malware and quarantining it, preventing the update/installation of the game.
Go to your anti-virus, look for this file in your quarantine section and restore it/give it an exception.
