New Patch had a malware behind this file "saber_symstore.exe".
Anyone else got the malware pretectiom software detecting this one? It immediately deleted it and after the download was completed, steam showed like the download failed due to some missing files.

Cool fear mongering bro.

symstore.exe is a debugging tool with "saber_" added at the front to identify it as their file and not the one that is also included with Windows.

Took less time to search what the file is than to type this message.

Same here, quarantined thankfully.

False positive, Windows defender and all the other anti virus software always flag EXE's.

Anytime you want to install a repack for example, the EXE and DLL get flagged. Best to use a virtual machine or a closed controlled environment if you are unsure of a Files danger.

Better to be safe then sorry

Never happened to me in any other of the almost 100 downloads of my other games to have mth antivirus intervening and deleting any file. So it's most concerning. I'm not instaling the game until some official clarification. 170h played.

According to VirusTotal, Avast and AVG think it's malware.
Funny, considering Avast and AVG are malwares themselves.
