Sniper class is so bad.

Why does the sniper class feel so weak compared to the other classes on Substantial threat level? Nearly every time I get a teammate who picks sniper, he gets downed so frequently.

u can play sniper with almost zero cloak cooldown
so you are literally out of combat the whole mission if you play it right

stalker bolt or bolt sniper are your friends

so my answere is no - sniper class is not bad - its the player behind that class

My to-go-class when I need to farm legendary armory. Stealth up all the time, keeping team up constantly with stealth revives. And las rifle is godlike :)
Took some practice, and ofc, need levels/perks to shine

I feel like in every game I've played there is always that one class that performs especially well in the hands of good players and especially poor in the hands of a bad one.

Sniper seems to be that class in this game. I've seen player melting everything before I can even reach them and snipers that will take less damage if they just throw a grenade on top of themselves.

If you get downed frequently, its not class fault, its skill issue.
Just had to melee to death 5 warriors on substantial on heavy, because tactical and vanguard I played with didn't knew melee exists and were slaughtered, both level 25.

To me it's more that the weapons feel like they lack punch. Like 3 headshots to down a warrior takes away from the sniper fantasy a bit. But the ranged weapons in general feel lacking, it's just the the sniper is the one you'd expect to have "1 shot 1 kill" capability so it stands out more.
