I wish console controllers (Xbox in this case) had a built in push to talk button. It's annoying having my mic open all the time, and really annoying hearing someone carrying on some dopey conversation with the people in their house during a game.

I don't either and I'm on PC. I turned it off. Too much pointless complaining even if the mission succeeds. Game isn't that intensive enough to require comms anyway, imo.

That`s why I kick them. They have shown they aren`t smart enough to not need basic instructions, I don’t want to vocal them because they’re usually disrespectful noise bums, and I keep crossplay on to play with a console friend.

Consoles DO have text chat though. Had a PS player communicating through it the whole match. Idk about xbox but PS does have it

That's cause he had a keyboard attached. If you don't have one attached it doesn't even show up as an option.

Maybe you missed the part where he said a keyboard had to be attached.
However all PCs have voice chat capability, so why aren't you using that?

I have a friend that plays on pc and now I can't recall for the life of me if I can see his chatbox or not.... I need to check this now cause i'm getting the chat from HD2 mixed up. I think the only way PS players can communicate is with mic or the hot key responses. I'm not aware of a way to type unless you hook a keyboard to your ps5.

Well sunshine, they have the ability to attach a keyboard which means the capability is there. As for the voice chat who said I didn't use it? Or is it so outlandish some people talk AND type simultaneously?

Yeah console users are going to hook up a keyboard to put on their lap while they sit on a couch playing off of a tv just because they may possible play with PC users who only want to type. Because it's super easy to put down your controller and type something. That makes sense.
