Need help fighting Tyranid warriors
To be honest I haven't found an effective way of beating these things in melee. The worst is when you get one of them surrounded by smaller gaunts. I know all about dodge and parry, but it doesn't seem to work half the time. The smaller ones constantly interrupt my attacks and mess up my timing, meanwhile the big one blocks everything and seemingly takes off half my health in one hit. Is there a trick I'm not seeing? Feels frustrating tbh.

Make sure you have a fencing melee weapon and then just parry everything :P (You can learn the gaps where you can get some attacks in from there).

Also, if you are playing a Bulwalk, do note that their parry can be a bit fiddly (you easily end up blocking rather then parrying).

Minorus can't interupt unless they're jumping and all that gives you is invulnerability. Which is something you want.

Heavy attacks get through blocks.

It's pretty much just learning to parry. Being surrounded by smaller grunts is like being surrounded by health packs. YOU WANT IT. They all give you infinite armor. YOU WANT TO BE SURROUNDED. Cause to fill up your armor you just hit parry before a minorus attacks you.

You focus on the larger warrior when you are nice and filled up with armor. Also when they are about to attack they become the priority.

If you are being shot at dodge which gives you invulnerability till you have room to shoot the ranged targets down. Keep dodging the shots they fire at you as well.

If you're surrounded you shouldn't take any health damage cause you have infinite armor at that point. You actually take MORE damage if you're not surrounded. Unless you don't know how to parry.

I tried, but parry opportunities seem to be few. More than half the time I get the red, non-parriable warning instead and take damage. Guess I just need to get more used to it, not sure if I can have such fast reaction times, lol.

Heavy attacks break the block. Just FYI. Also, you can parry all of the attacks (except red ones). Don't wait for the blue marker.
And don't forget to restore armor from gunstriking Minoris.

You don't need a blue alert to parry. You can parry like every 1/2 second to every 1.5 seconds when being attacked by minorus. The fact you think there few opportunities means you're not doing it correct at all. ANY ATTACK EXCEPT RED ALERTS CAN BE PARRIED.

You could literally sit there and ONLY HIT parry (plus gun strike) and kill everything around you. That's how often you can parry.

Like if I'm surrounded by just 4 or 5 warriors. I just parry them to death. Mostly cause I'm lazy at this point. I only strike when it gets to like 3 or 2. Just cause parrying them to death takes a while.

Well that changes things, I thought you could only parry when the blue marker shows up. I could have sworn I tried it without the marker and nothing happened. Off to do some experimenting :)

To clarify this. You still can't block the red indicators (those attacks need to be dodged). But you can parry way more attacks then when you get a blue indicator.

Figured that's what it was. Good luck it should make a HUGE difference in your play.

Think of the blue indicator as a warning a big attack is coming but you can parry nearly every attack, when parrying against minoris enemies they die and you get a pip of armour and can basically do that infinitely and once you get the hang of it you are essentially invincible. Against Warriors in melee attack until you see them wind up for an attack, parry then gunshot and repeat until they are executable

Keep an eye out for the attack animations of the gaunts (minoris). They crouch and coil up their arms when they are about to do the parry-able attack that will give you one shield pip. Ignore everything else they do, unless you get the blue QTE flash. As for the warriors, learn what their standing animation state looks like. They usually attack in 3 stroke combinations, so if you you know what the animation looks like when they reset into a neutral stance you know when it's safe to directly attack them. You can't stagger them during their attack cycles, but you can stagger them during this neutral state. Dodge or parry and gun strike everything else they do, or shell up if you are a Bulwark. Don't just spam parry. Occasionally use the first press Dodge to create distance and prevent multiple Warriors from surrounding you.
honestly what i do is i kill everything and leave 1 elite warrior left alive when with friends and we use it as a pratice dummy learning patterns etc they have become like gaunts to me now easy to deal with including the ones with the whip
