Epic games process makes game not close/launch
As title said, as long as Epic Games process is in the background, the game will either not close properly and appear as "being played" on steam, or won't be able to get started again

Closing steam doesn't solve the problem, cause the process is there all the time

Also, how the F, does launching game on steam start up my epic games processes? Excuse me?

soooo...for one you can uninstall the epic services and the game will run just fine but will still lock up on closing, you just won't be able to cross play. if you don't care about cross play then boom...you're golden. However, if you do indeed want to cross play.... well you need epic services, you know the software that makes that happen, to enjoy playing with friends on the xbox and playstation and epic gaming site. And the game not closing isn't unique to this game, lots of games do it frequently, but all games will do it from time to time. simple solution is bring up your task manager...lots of ways to do it. Simplest is to right click your task bar...click on the task manager and select the process...right click on it and then click end process....and like magic...it goes away.

You do realise that if I can see the processes and have already went through turning them off forcefully, I know I can kill the game from task manager, right?

What I wanted to ask for, is why do I have to go into the processes and kill that, why does steam launch them but not close them automatically when I turn the game off, like it does with anti-cheat?

I found a way to deal with it, what I am concerned is the confused clicking of people who are less tech-savvy and who don't know why their new triple A game won't close/run
