Yeah, I know that all the SJWposts are trolls, but I wanted to remind all the right wingers about this to see who gets mad.

I hope to god there's eventually a trans Guardsman colonel or something, not because there's any good reason for it, just because the fallout would be so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny. And really, the publicity for that would be a pretty decent reason in itself.

They put out these statements like every other western company, it is only about money. Nothing new here, besides it is 4 years old. The only pandering we saw was the female Custodes, which received an immense backlash. Even Henry Cavill went against that idiotic idea. Shareholders have to look at Ubisoft for the greatest example, and how to destroy a company with virtue signaling to a tiny minority crowd. I bet you guys didn't even buy Concord, weird, since ppl like you is the target audience for that game. Look how that turned out...

You can't even support games which have been made for you, just seek to infect other franchises and IPs, then fighting online with random people how wrong they are. Then watch the fall of the beloved IP since its fanbase is gone. Fanbase means money, money means product, no money means no product = go broke.

Not everyone is a meme-hurling culture warrior, dude. These anti-fascist statements weren't part of an idiotic twitter cancellation war, they were a response to someone bringing Nazi symbols to a tournament. Not right-wing, not conservative, not even white power, Nazi. I think it is PERFECTLY REASONABLE for Games Workshop to respond by saying, hey, just because the Imperium is fascist doesn't mean we condone people displaying Nazi symbols at a tournament.

Take a step back and it'll be blindly obvious that the whole "go woke go broke" idea is a complete farce. People have been screaming "go woke go broke" at absolutely everything, and acting smug about it when they're right while quietly letting it go when they're wrong. But the really damning thing here is how blatantly you have to ignore the enormous super-majority of things that either have virtue signalling in them or genuinely are based on liberal/progressive values. The Barbie movie was woke. The modern Mad Max movies are woke. Guilty Gear Strive is woke. Disco Elysium is the genuinely wokest game of all time. Dawntrail has a trans VA for the main character, and a woke storyline that's weak on its own merits too, and whoa boy do you have another thing coming if you think that anti-woke backlash is meaningful enough to so much as put a scratch on the sales of a FFXIV expansion.

And this is a minor point, but I think your "massive backlash" to the female Custodes is an internet echo chamber thing. You've cultivated a bubble where what you see is anti-woke culture warriors and the people they pick fights with, and not only do they not represent the bulk of people who consume 40K-related media, I feel pretty certain that they don't even represent the bulk of hardcore 40K fans. I know multiple LGBT people who own armies and are the *farthest* thing from culture warriors.

tl;dr I'm too old to give a ♥♥♥♥ about wokeness in video games and I have a feeling you are too. Maybe *don't* get outrage-baited by people whose livelihoods involve making angry retweets about absolutely everything.
