FPS Issues
Fellas, my fellow marines. I have an RTX 3080 With an AMD-Ryzen 7 5800X and no matter what graphics settings I put, I'm constantly stuck at 50 - 60 fps outside of combat and then 30-40 during combat. Even at the lowest settings I can't seem to break past 50 in combat. Is all hope lost for me?

everyone is talking about cpu bottlenecks but theres a guy with a 4090 and an i9 that is also having this issue on another thread, i hope this is a bug with the game and will be solved in a future patch.

I have the same issues as you all do but on operation 3 its Very bad, 20-30 FPS and you hover just over 30 fps in non battle scenes. This game is desperately in need of optimizations.

When's the last time you updated your GPU driver?

Same here. No matter what settings I put, the FPS doesn't really budge. It's weird. And I don't have FPS capped, no vertical sync, refresh rate is 144, etc. I could have ultra or low on everything and I hover around 30-35 fps.

There was a driver update yesterday that I still have to do. Haven't really touched the game too much because of college. I did hear they came out with a CPU optimization patch today so I'll update my drivers and give the game a go. With my PC I should be getting atleast 50-70 FPS. Drops to 30 and even 20 FPS in combat with settings on medium is pretty unacceptable lol.

I've noticed that too. Switching graphics and even restarting my game to ensure the changes go through don't really change much. I can be at 30 fps on all low settings and then be at 30fps on high/ultra while being in the exact same area. It doesn't make much sense. Maybe this optimization update will help.

Agreed. It's weird. I have a 3080ti, but it is pushing a 4K monitor. I've doubled and triple checked all my settings to make sure my FPS wasn't being capped somewhere and my FPS won't budge regardless of what my settings are.

Yeah, I hope it does too. I'm excited about the first patch and can't wait for more content.

Hopefully the driver update fixes the issue you're having, and yes there was a hotfix recently that fixed the abnormally high CPU temps a lot of people were getting, including myself. With your CPU and GPU, I say you should be getting more than 70 fps, depending on video settings and resolution.

Thankfully with the graphics driver update and the CPU optimization patch, I'm now ranging from 60-70 fps, drops to 50 the lowest in large fights but it stabilizes quickly. Been having a great experience with the game

What resolution are you trying to run the game at? Are you using DLSS?
zmanbuilder Sep 12, 2024 @ 7:49pm
Make sure the game is saved on a ssd.
