What is going on with the ping in this game?
My friend and I (share an apartment) are connected via ethernet and get 1gbps/down. How is it even possible that when him and I play an operation (just the two of us) sometimes he would have 140-200 ping while I have 30, sometimes its the other way around. Other times we would both either have 30 ping or 140-200. I don't understand how that is possible unless we're in the same game but connected to different servers? The ping stays steady at whatever it is when we join, fluctuates a maximum of +/- 10ping.

Multiplayer (PvP) forces me to constantly leave a match and re-queue due to 7/10 games having ping over 150+ for more than half of the players, just for a chance to get into a game where I have sub 60 ping.

The game uses servers around the world, for any kind of play. Even single player. Also you may experience stuttering and lagging enemy movements in single player or co op campaign and operations and especially Multiplayer due to the Easy Anti Cheat conflicting with any number of things from Discord Krispr Noise suppression and hardware acceleration, various overlays for Steam, NVidia, Epic Online, or Discord, or if you have an Asus motherboard, causing Thunderbolt to activate and make EAC freak out.

It is an odd experience to play single player yet have enemies freeze and run in place, or to be playing multiplayer and have people move like they are teleporting around.

Try out a couple Easy Anti Cheat conflict fixes and you should see a drastic improvement.

Here is one thing I found helped immensely;

How to fix: Go to your windows power plan advanced settings, click the + next to USB and disable "USB selective suspend" in advanced options. That should resolve your issue.

Sadly I havent yet figured out how to remove the discord conflict yet. If I play with discord open, it's not that smooth, but with discord fully closed the game runs beautifully after this.

It's because the netcode of the game is utter garbage and server load is probably far to high. Saber never had so many people using their cheap hamster wheel servers.

But dont worry tho... in the next 3 days the majority of people will quit anyway. Then the game will run flawless.

I will try this, but I don't understand that having played other games with EAC and never having issues. Is this a specific issue with SM2 and EAC as a combination.

Hard to say. Easy Anti Cheat has different versions, so who can say for sure. I hope it solves your main issues.

Idk most pvp matches has me with 3x more ping than the next guy. I get the constant connection issue icon on the top right. i never get this with any other game, and my connection is solid...

Same issue here. I tried multiple things. Reset IPconfig. Do VSync on/off. changed IPV4/6
Motionblur off. Limit FPS ingame and on my NVIDIA board. Crossplay on/off. Restart Router.
Portsharing.

Nothing changed.

Sometimes it runs rly smooth and nice, everything is ok but after one or two matches in the same lobby i get the Ping sign on the top right and everyone is stuttering and the game is laggy.

What I noticed ingame. One player in the lobby always has a higher ping than the others.

Tried this but unfortunately everything remained the same. Honestly a complete dice roll whether I’ll have 40 ping or 240 ping in operations/eternal war. Disappointing.
