Join friends across platforms? (PC & PS5)

How do you join your friends on playing on PS5 (Playstation Network) if you are on PC (Steam)?
I can only see an option to link to my EPIC Games account in the game menu. No PSN or XBOX link account options, thus unable to invite/join friends.

in game when you press the button to open squad menu in top right, there is an option that looks like a key symbol and will show an invite code. get your Friends to use said code to join whoever's hosting the game. should work without any linking i don't think

It's worth mentioning that you can only crossplay with consoles for the co-op modes and campaign. Versus separates the consoles and PC players.

This is the correct answer with the caveat that you can't crossplay in pvp.
