Invisible Characters?
I seem to be having some issue with the textures of the characters not loading. When I first started the game I actually thought it was a first-person intro until I gained access to the melee attack and realized my character was simply invisible. Then he started taking damage and I realized the Tyranids were also invisible. I found that switching the graphics settings back and forth from high to low (direction didn't seem to matter) would cause the character textures to load, temporarily. Or it may only load some of them. I muddled through this way until the part of the introduction level where your task is to survive until the bomb goes off, the Tyranids would not show up. I switched back and forth and my character was visible but his bolter rifle was not.

Experiencing the same issue when I try playing fullscreen. I've had success playing in windowed mode with rendering set to performance mode, though. Not ideal, but it seems to be a consistent interim fix until maybe this gets patched?

Thanks for the suggestions, but so far they've all been temporary solutions. I've shrunk the window, gone to low settings, lowered the resolution. It'll fix it for that scene then it starts again as soon as new textures are loaded. Worse yet it happens during cut scenes. I can't pause and fiddle with the settings during cut scenes, so I just have to assume the empty spaces are characters talking and I may or may not be missing an exciting battle.

Please let me know if this gets patched.

Same but it's my graphics card 4GB DDR3 too low (needs/likes 6GB DDR3 min) Gonna kick this into the future of a new laptop etc. Excepting there's a few invisible monsters cloaking Sir.

Sadly, it seems your PC doesn't have the minimum requirements to play the game. This is not something that will be patched, you'll need to upgrade your hardware.

Is this true?

I figure, my system's four or five years old, but up to now it's run everything I've thrown at it at max settings without issue. I know the first Space Marine is quite old now, but when I couldn't get this to play properly I went back and played through that one. I've spent hundreds of hours in Armored Core and Elden Ring with not so much as a slowdown, I've recently been enjoying The First Descendant. Odd this would be the one to force me to upgrade.

It's true I have 4GB DDR3 and invisible monsters.

Sounds like time to upgrade. especially GPU if its 4 - 5 years old. I had to do it because i knew this game was not gonna run decently or even look good with a GTX 1070 and a Ryzen 7 2700x.

I'm close to the secret sauce if I avoid the first map in Operations. There are some genuinely invisible monsters, minus the first map in Operations. The further 7 maps in Operations run OK.

My friend had this problem. For him it turned out that he did not have enough vram dedicated to the game.
