Chaos was an awful gameplay swap
Both thematically and gameplay, I definitely did not pay 90 bucks to just shoot at myself but evil half the game. In the main campaign we saw one, maybe two real large tyranid swarms. I ultimately left pretty disappointing for what was an otherwise amazing campaign. Soon as we save the adeptus mechanicus senior, the game got side lined and just boring.

Much would of preferred a mission or two to swap the gameplay loop to chaos, then let us see the invasion with the tyranids through.

I liked the Chaos introduction and fighting them but you are honestly right. Its getting really stale facing Chaos as a second enemy YET AGAIN

And in most 40k games its just Chaos being main enemy or second enemy, over and over and over and over and over again.

Would've killed for another faction showing up, not Chaos. One of these:
Orks,
Eldar,
Tau,
Rak'Gol,
Necrons
Dark Eldar

40k is huge, options are limitless.

An Ork invasion at the same time as a Tyranide one would have been way more fun.

Respectfully, did you play Space Marine 1?

If so, you'd have seen the Chaos involvement coming from a mile away...

Yup same, a real bummer. Wanted to see more Tyranid units for sure. So bored of Chaos in every single 40k game (except Mechanicus). The story is ok at best so wouldn't hurt just to skip Chaos for once.

It is huge, but also is the lore cant just throw in all factions randomly rather see they follow a red line.
Necrons is more or less abscent, eldar is more or less wiped out, tau is more or less ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Based on bunch of teaser in game, next series should be vs Necron

The combat in the last level is so, so incredibly boring (apart from bosses)

It keeps reminding me of the Halo with all sentinels, either 4 or 5, can't remember

Other than than, the campaign was fantastic and the tyranids a treat

I didn't mind it, though the big chaos mechs were pretty unfun to fight. I would've liked the campaign to have been a bit longer so there I could've spent more time fighting each kind of enemy.

I don’t mind that they showed up. But genuinely a mission or two would have been fine. We didn’t even get any sort of closure with the tyranid invasion. I feel like I got blue balled

Chaos marine are in most 40k game, it's logical that people cant stand it anymore.
Also, if they wanted to follow up on the first game they would have made Space Marine 2 about fighting Chaos from the start.

“Oh you bought the game cause we marketed tons of tyranid gameplay? Best I can do is half the game.”

the necrons <3 I let out a few drops when I saw the tombs saying to myself "oh yeah, Necrons" but no, it's underexploited, really too bad, a future dlc?

well chaos is the main antagonist of the setting, and current edition of the lore tyranids are the primary enemy. it makes sense form a lore standpoint that these enemies are the front and center. im not a huge fan of chaos personally but, thats just what it is.

It make some sense, but the Imperium have a lots of front that never see the chaos.
These senarists still act as if it was something surprising and misterious that the chaos came in the second half the these game, but it's not anymore. At this point everyone expect it to happen.

Also we know that Titus is immune to the corruption of the warp, so there isn't much to do with the chaos as they cant corrupt him.
