BLACK SCREEN ON STARTUP
Was excited to hear this game was coming out so i purchased it a few days ago, didn't really care for the whole playing a few days early thing when I knew it was coming out in a couple days plus i had tons of content to watch in the meantime.

Now that I've downloaded everything, I have (68 minutes) of playtime that literally just consisted of me sitting at a black screen every time i tried launching the game. I've verified the integrity of the files each time, I even installed new drivers because I didn't realize mines weren't up to date. Still didn't change anything.

I get the seizure warning screen, then the company credits and after that's when everything goes completely black until it closes itself out randomly with the bug report asking for feedback. Hardware wise I know my computer isn't the issue but i'm sure it's just some Day 1 bug, still hoping for some kinda fix though.

Huh, when I had an issue with the game crashing it was because of a few files that didn't verify, but it was happening before even reaching the seizure warning.

Yeah, I pretty much get to the AMD loading screen right after all the company logos and it just goes black and each time i verify the files it says around 790 files were missing so i validate them and retry with the same issue over and over lol.

I am also having the same issue. The moment epic games starts to load (even though I bought it on Steam) the screen goes to an infinite black screen.

If you're running windows 10, you got to upgrade to windows 11.

Ive been having issues with several games like this. Just because of an overclock....
Have another monitor connected?

Im on 10, all fine here. A friend had it and needed the latest GPU driver which fixed it.

Now that yes, I do have two monitors currently connected

It's been doing this to me for several days now. I have about 5 hours logged on the game but I'd wager half of it is waiting on loading screens. They're apparently working to patch this sometime this week, fingers crossed.

Just use your main monitor, unplug the second one. See if that works.

Report it to the devs, you can easily contact Saber Interactive Support (google it). That's a known issue.
The more feedback they get, the more chances there are for them to make it their priority in the next patch.
I got the same problem.

I highly doubt that me unplugging a display has anything to do with my game not being playable. My main monitor is the only one that picks up the game when i launch it anyways, the second one doesn't interfere at all. What i'm noticing from threads this is a game issue more than anything else.
