Black Screen
I bought the game today, and when I started it, it briefly started in windowed mode and then it switches to fullscreen (not that it is important, just trying to give as many details as possible). When it does that the cursor disappears, and it stays in black screen for 20 minutes, until the shaders start to download, and THEN, the shaders take 20 minutes or more to download/load...

I've tried checking the integrity of the files, reinstalling, restarting steam and/or PC. I´ve tried messing with the compatibility options via steam, and nothing solved this endless loading time...

My specs are more than enough to run the game (i7 9th generation/GTX 1660 ti(and it is instaled on a SSD) and still nothing worked for me, anyone got any tips? should one wait for a fix/patch?

Thanks for the attention in advance! :jcdenton:

Unfortunately I go through this black screen everytime I start up the game, for me I just have to wait for it to decide to work, which it usually does after like 8-10 minutes, but then the first intro cut scene immediately crashes my whole game, so it's this perpetual loop.

Really we just have to wait for the dev's to notice this issue and provide patches to fix it over the next few days.

Howdy folks, some things to try. The first one helped me with the black screen issue.

1) (This fixed the issue for me), exit the game, temporarily disable your Anti Virus (this includes windows defender) and launch the game again to see if it runs fine. If it does, you can make an exception for the game folder so the AV leaves it alone as a permanent fix.

2) Ensure anything that might be creating a Overlay on the game is disabled. This includes the Steam, Discord, or Overwolf overlays if you use those.

3) Ensure the game is installed on your SSD if you have one.

If those do not work, there is a guide being maintained with common fixes here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3325253230

Yes it's exactly like that... I played in my father's playstation and it is so smooth. Let's hope they can fix it this week, since there is a patch coming! :Deer:

Yes, that's what I've been reading everywhere, even in the requirements it says it's needed to play the game
