Sound design??
Is it just me or is everything just sort of quiet and muted? There doesn't really sound like there's any noise being made by allies or enemy players

Most likely intentionally designed this way to let the music and dialogue come through. You can adjust the audio separately in the settings and see what works best! Could also be something that isn't working intentionally for now.

This was literally the first thing I noticed. The sound mixing is really bad, and results in combat having no "OOMPH" whatsoever.

Like any cinematic product there is just to much to hear if make it more like a simulation.

Fix could be tweaking music volume and some kind of software (I doubt there is setting like that in the game) to make high or low loudnes range. Lower range give you more details, high range feel of original mix (with low music volume it sounds pretty "dead" to my taste).

I did tried adding some post reverberation (no music) and it sounds a little messy, but much better for cathedral surroundings! There is not allways a mud, so it can be pretty fun to play with sound.

Yea, everything sounds echo-y. So many odd design choices in this game, another one being aiming reticle raised above center screen.. like why.

it's an issue for lots of games/video content nowadays, the art of sound hitting ears has been lost

Yea I'm just noticing this now as well. Started the first mission and nothing really sounds all that impactful. Very bizarre.

Yep, I am not an audio expert by any means, but upon playing the first few minutes I could tell something was off. Everyting sounds the same, there is no difference in low/medium/high tones, my chainsword doesnt BRRRR when I use it, I can barely hear it. Seems like the audio mix is bugged or poorly implemented. Changing it to surround sound ingame helped a little but not great.
