SM2 takes place around 10th edition long past the fall of cadia and the return of Guiliman, It's now around the time of Lion's Return.

cadians didn't all die when the planet blew up.

they are trying to keep their culture going elsewhere.

in other exciting news, they are models you can buy so probably not going anywhere anytime soon.

Cadians are a diaspora now. Cadia paid the Imperial Tithe in soldiers, so as a culture they're all over the galaxy. Cadia might be gone, but Cadians continue to defend the Imperium in every corner of the galaxy.

Cadian regiments are all over the place.

Its not only Cadians who lost their homeworld and still are around.

Check out Tanith First and Only regiment.
