Easy Anti Cheat not installed

When I first opened the game after installating it everything was fine and loaded normally up until the "precreating shaders" bit.

It would not load so I verified the game files and reinstalled the game and now it won't start because Easy Anti Cheat isn't installed.

I tried to use the setup in the files but it wouldn't open and I couldn't force it to with a command I saw someone in steam discussions use because a prompt shows up saying "This app can't run on your PC to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher"

Does anyone have a solution or am I just screwed because I have a crappy PC?

Update: I found an old post for the same problem for sea of thieves and this thread worked for me

Right there with you. I get to the cmd prompt, enter the command, get the windows notification to allow easy anti cheat make changes to my pc...then nothing runs.

I have a similar problem where mine is stuck on the initializing screen. Any help would be great.

Try: EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe install prod-fn.

I ended up having to create a shortcut to my easy anti cheat file that added the word "repair" to the end of the file name. I also have to turn off my firewall and anti virus software so Easy Anti Cheat can communicate with their servers I guess. I haven't figured out how to tell my firewall Anti Cheat is allow to pass through yet.

I got a solution that worked for me. I completely deleted all the easy anti cheat files from Space Marine 2’s folder (even deleted it in recycle bin just to be sure) than verified game files so it only redownloads the Easy Anti cheat files. After that I launched the game and it worked. Hope this helps! 👍
