invisible models
upon starting the tutorial, the space marine may be missing their model but keep their effects, the marine loads but weapons are invisible, if the game finally loads far enough to see a single tyranid, surprise, they're invisible too.

i've verified files, changed settings tab by tab, reset, checked drivers, changed to fullscreen, but the problem persists. anyone have a fix?

A lot of people are facing this issue at the moment, including myself. Guess we'll see if they will fix this issue in the next patch.

How much VRAM have you got on your graphics card?
i also have the problem and i have the optimal requirements but it still tells me not enough video memory and thats why the game rendering is poop and the enemies are invisible

One of the devs answered the question, apparently they're working on a fix.

If anyone else here says VRAM and 4 gigabytes, I'll throw a chair at them. I'll take away your argument in one fell swoop. Switch rendering from GPU to CPU and all models load perfectly. There's NO VRAM on the CPU. Calm down, the game is broken.

it should be known that the same computer that runs Half life:Alyx smooth as silk, is having a stroke with space marine 2, despite the same exact amount of Vram, so I believe that's not remotely the issue. This appears to just be overtaxing of resources when the game doesn't need it.
besides, this baby's got 32 gigs of ram on tap, and the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB still runs everything i've ever played A-ok issue-free! this is the single, only game with issues after hundreds of different games!

it just feels like an issue similar to minecraft, some kind of memory leak, or the model's aren't being cached so the game is telling the pc "Load it all right now or you get nothing" so the pc kicks the highest model count off the screen to save load time. sure, i'm obviously not 100% right but its definitely an optimization issue

Well..., when you switch to igpu it use ram as vram and i am quite everyone has 8gb++ of ram. This game literally load every single shader and texture needed into vram (thats why you can see hundred nids without stuttering), 6gb is minimal, 4gb doesnt work (sometimes changing resolution to 720p work), 12gb needed for ultra.

CPU have RAM and it's usually more 4gb of ram on pc in 2024 .Games utilize more than 5gb of vram on 8gb gpu

I had a bug where the black guy was stuck on his tippy toes and just slid around the whole mission. It looked pretty funny and was the best part about the game.

FIX AQUIRED

change your settings from low to medium, even if a vram warning pops up. switch back to low (all of this without leaving the menu) then back into the game. this has worked when tyranids regain their invisibility! I noticed the space marines have a lot of curved armor, in model making, curves cause a TON of generation issue as they take so much more than a straight edge! I wonder if poly counts need to be reduced?

I have rx580 8gb vram, no such issues

well it worked for a little while...dang it all! I got up to the area where you launch the objective, now my fix doesn't work.
