Good luck
Too late for me to refund.
I got this instead of GOW Ragnarok.
RIP ME
The Valhalla mode is really cool and fun to play, but playing through parts as Atreus was an absolute drag.
I feel a little bit better
Thank you
What is it that you find clunky? You get swarmed by endless mobs, sometimes that amount of enemies can cause your camera to go nuts, the terrain and walls sometimes are the cause of your death because you were rolling to a wall without knowing, lol.
imo, the clunkyness is kind of a charm. the combat is extremely fluid once you get parries, rolls and death shots on lock. we are blessed by i-frames, so that alone takes away a lot of the clunkyness you might've felt in the first 30-50mins of playtime.
yea i put it on f
Assault has iframes?
In which movement? Dodge?
Also, are you into pvp at all? If so, try it out! Easily the best part of the game imo.
The melee combat in general and the responsiveness of the Marine when trying to dodge roll. It seemed I got constantly battered at the end of the tutorial, rolling did nothing and I barely got the white parry indicators. Not from the mobs, not from the elite.
The clunkyness to me makes the gameplay feel like a chore, not a Marine wading through mobs and having an awesome showdown with an elite. When I get the indicator, the parry works fine, but melee combat feels like playing a fighting game online vs an opponent with a wireless 2-bar connection.
That wireless latency feel never fades.
Something is terribly off
rolling needs direction, which takes a bit of time getting used to, certain attacks will always hit if you stay on the same line of attack, ex: you roll backwards instead of either side.
but yeah, in that case it might not be the game for you. I don't think it will ever change, since it was a design choice. devs took a lot of time in trying to nail the heavy-ness of the movement, they nailed it IMO but that means you will not be moving like doom guy.
