Concerns About Space Marine 2
Hey everyone, I've been following the release of Space Marine 2 with a lot of excitement, but I can't help but feel disappointed by its lack of inclusivity. The game seems to continue the trend of focusing primarily on a very specific type of hero—the hyper-masculine, overwhelmingly aggressive Space Marines—without offering any significant diversity in its portrayal of characters or storylines, especially when it comes to portraying a backwards and fascist institution like the Imperium. In a time when many games are striving to represent a broader range of identities and experiences, Space Marine 2 feels like a step backward. The universe it depicts is incredibly rich and could easily include more varied perspectives, but instead, it sticks with a narrow, somewhat outdated archetype. Like seriously, why is it so hard to have a little bit of representation when that's like the bare minimum?

Moreover, the game's marketing and design choices seem to cater almost exclusively to a particular demographic, which can be alienating for players who don't fit that mold. While there's nothing wrong with having a classic space marine experience, it would be great to see more effort put into making the game feel welcoming and engaging for a wider audience. By embracing a broader range of characters and stories, Space Marine 2 could have set a new standard for inclusivity in the genre, but it feels like it missed a significant opportunity.

I'm going to still get this game but I really hope the devs listen to feedback and decide to do the right thing...

Look, I don't want to "screw" anyone. There are lots of people in this fandom that come from traditionally marginalized communities and would have their day made by having a character to feel represented by. There's the characters for you, and that's okay, but why not have characters for more people?

"The wider audience" doesent exist, people that where interested are already in the hobby, this idiocy has killed many studios, games and movies, no go back to Concord... oh wait

is easy this is a fantasy and isnt about represantation, this isnt a Cyberpunk fantasy.

This is a Dark future, where the Emperor of humanity conquere Earth wipe all other that opose them create 13 Primarch that represnet the ASTARTES as their ANGEL of Death (that why they are all male)
This isnt about incluiding anything this is about wiping humanity enemies with a Tyrant fist.

Normal Humans on this fantasy are just slaves to work or human meat for the war machine.

This isnt a fantasy where you will find any inclusion you think diferent here you get lobotomize and work as a Servitor.

You want to be represnet go play somehting else.

I can't actually drink milk due to my lactose intolerance so the only dairy product I eat is parmigiano, but this is steering the discussion off topic
