Did they Just Copy/Pasted StarCraft?
Couldn't help myself and watched the opening cinematic. Instantly got 1 to 1 comparison with that StarCraft II trailer, where zergs swarm a planet. But there they actually looked much cooler.

So, Tyranids invasion. Planet bombarding and stuff. I thought Warhammer had original ideas, enemies and armies, but they really went into lazy plagiarising other franchise?
I know it's hard to resist to not use older universes, such as StarCraft which is older than SpaceMarine games and more badass. Nothing wrong with re-inventing others ideas. Fine... but at least do it better? =/

Got ya! :steammocking:

the irony is that despite what GW would have you believe a lot of the stuff in Warhammer is stuff they've blatantly copied from other things...
not Starcraft admittedly, but I'd say that's only a matter of time.

starcraft was a copy paste of warhammer 40 k
warcraft literally got created from blizzard having a deal full through with games workshop and they kept what they had made and called it warcraft !

Starcraft was supposed to be a 40K game but they lost the license and retooled it into what we got. Warhammer is older than Starcraft.

As crazy as it sounds, the Warhammer 40K universe is characterized by the fact that it didn't just steal from one story, but from all of them without exception. :D

Dune
Star Wars
Star Trek
The Mars Trilogy
Stanislaw Lem
[...]

The list is endless... And I have to admit, that's why I love this hobby so much.

Edit: You got me!

Your blasphemy towards the Adeptus Astartes has been reported to your local Adeptus Arbites office and their subservient Enforcers. I estimate that the most lenient sentence that can be offered is internment in a Penitent Engine.

I know what you mean. I noticed that too. It’s very similar to the sequence where the two fighters fly into the frame and bombard the Leviathan. The music is also similar.
But it's not a copy. Maybe they were inspired by it, or it's just a coincidence.

does anyone know of a space marine armoring style video that came out BEFORE starcraft 2 did it in 2007? even the iron man movie only did it a year later in 2008.

transformers movies which kinda sorta did something similar was also 2007.

You have to be asbolutely kidding me......STARCRAFT is a 40k knock off, not the other way around. Do a google search for warhammer 40k
