Look, I'll start this off by saying I've been a member of the Warhammer community now for an extensive period of time (roughly 2 years~ since I started the hobby), and I've been playing Warhammer and Warhammer adjacent games for the entirety of that time. Ever since I began I have STRONGLY felt that the exclusion of femininity from the primary cast of characters in Warhammer is extremely disgusting. Most notably: The Emperor and his primarchs, the astartes in their chapters, and many of the characters besides.

It's not even that we need more female inclusivity (which we do). It's also that we need more sexual inclusivity, including homosexuality and bisexuality, which are two things which are incredibly lacking in the Warhammer lore and amongst the astartes in particular.

I am not opposed to any arguements or disagreements on the topic, but I feel like we really have to be a serious, strong, united community and have a genuine discord about this topic going forwards. This is a live service game, anything can happen people. Personally I would love it if they finally bent, distanced themselves from the malicious ways of the 90s, and finally added female Astartes.

Do you also feel disgusted for the lack of male representation in Barbie doll lines? This is a boy's toy line at heart, like Barbie is a girl toy line.

Again, why would we need it? Do every IP and every toy line needs exactly 50/50 male and females and at least 1 person of every one of the world's nationalities? Or only the "minorities" people in the USA and northern europe happen to care about?

Warhammer is about war, aliens, demonic corruption in a distopic, oppressive future, not to look into common people intimate life or preferences - and noone ever said those guys are all heterossexual, this is just not the THEME so noone will put this aspect of their personality under scrutiny.

The 90s were not malicious, but you must have been indocrinated by the way you talk about it. Even if I accept your view point, during the 90s several homossexual led bands dominated the charts after Queen made it mainstream in the 80s, the Aliens movies had the best action hero ever (Rippley, interpreted by Sigouney Weaver), most non fundamentalist people simply didn't CARE about someone's intimate life, just their work/talent.

Look, it has been explained for YEARS that the medical procedures to create an Astartes does NOT work on the female anatomy. As it stands Games Workshop did a piss poor handling of adding the female Custodes by simply saying 'there have always been female custodes'

If you want to play a female in 40k play as an Adepta Sororitas, or as an Eldar female unit. Give up and get off your high horse. Not every franchise needs to bend the knee to people and rewrite their own lore to fit some random person's wishes.

NOW all that aside, sure it'd be cool if female Astartes was a thing, but it won't happen. Just accept that female Custodes were added and be content with that. Maybe at some point down the road we'll be able to play the Adepta Sororitas in SM2. Maybe with a Repentia class or something based on the Sister of Silence. But yelling and whining that you're not getting your way is not how to get people to listen.
