Think about it, all thinks In live really worth the effort are exclusive.
You would rather have your own house or share one with 10 strangers.
You would rather have wife for yourself or "share" her with other men ?
Best schools in the world are also exclusive.
I could put more examples, but I believe my point is made clear.
1) Obviously yes, they are the most popular faction
2) No, they are not just women in armor, another user has posted a much more detailed history behind WHY in the lore Space Marines are male only by design. Changing this fact would be like gender reversing the characters in "A handmaiden's tale"
3) YOU and YOU alone are the only one declaring that the 20 of 36 factions that are not a variant of space marine (literally the only reason they are the poster children is there's so many variants of them) are just side characters. You are dismissing the rich lore of 20 different factions many of which have heavy female representation as being mere side characters because that fits the narrative you want to spin. You've tunnel visioned on the fact that there are no female space marines to equal there is no female representation in warhammer 40k falsely
i wouldnt support roided up pre-teens having any form of relationship. also warhammer doesnt really have time for interpersonal relationships most of the time, so including them feels like a waste
I mean your the one ignoring an entire faction called the Sisters of battle which are women who carry big bolters while wearing power armor so who here needs to get a grip?
Belisarius Cawl made the Primaris marines to be more advanced than the first founding marines. He added, he did not edit. He added on to an existing template that was already faster and stronger and added a 2x modifier to it. He did not "edit" anything.
Second, Custodes are not made similar to space marines. They are not mass produced as how space marines are. They are designed as body guards. Faster, broader, stronger, and taller than a space marine, they can withstand chaos corruption because that is how they are made. Don't compare the Custodes and Astartes together cause that is where you will be wrong.
You're just another lunatic who over thinks everything and wants everyone to convert to your own personal views.
But why? Someone needs to explain to me why a four-plus-decade-old piece of fiction needs to address real-world issues. Not every game is made for everyone.
SM2 isn't the greatest game of all time, but it does one thing perfectly: It gives me the ultimate W40k feeling. It delivers almost perfectly what the majority of fans want to see. Why does it need to include real-world issues so that "everyone feels welcome"? It is simply not required. If it's attractive to some, so be it. We have seen what happens to games that try to cater to "everyone."
It’s also unclear to me how sexual orientation or gender would fit in a scenario where a bunch of genetically modified dudes slay aliens. Why is it impossible for people to enjoy something “as it is”?
One of the smallest factions in 40k... They don't represent the game and they sure as hell don't represent Space Marine 2 -- which is, again, entirely male...
Now there are PLENTY of other factions that do have women: Imperials, Custodes, Eldar, Tau, Sisters of silence, Sisters of Battle...
Due to their popularity, Space Marines are the main pick for all video games/movies/content because they are a guaranteed to sell well and are the 'good guys'...
Darktide is different because it centres on the Imperial Guard/convicts and there are PLENTY of women in that... Ugly but still women.
Now, if this game was called SISTERS OF BATTLE and was focused on them, you wouldnt see any males.
