(SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY) FEMALE ASTARTES/ REPRESENTATION
IF YOU JESTER REACT. YOU ARE STUPID. FORM AN ACTUAL ARGUEMENT AND REPLY SO WE CAN DISCUSS THE ISSUE.

Look, I'll start this off by saying I've been a member of the Warhammer community now for an extensive period of time (roughly 2 years~ since I started the hobby), and I've been playing Warhammer and Warhammer adjacent games for the entirety of that time. Ever since I began I have STRONGLY felt that the exclusion of femininity from the primary cast of characters in Warhammer is extremely disgusting. Most notably: The Emperor and his primarchs, the astartes in their chapters, and many of the characters besides.

It's not even that we need more female inclusivity (which we do). It's also that we need more sexual inclusivity, including homosexuality and bisexuality, which are two things which are incredibly lacking in the Warhammer lore and amongst the astartes in particular.

I am not opposed to any arguements or disagreements on the topic, but I feel like we really have to be a serious, strong, united community and have a genuine discord about this topic going forwards. This is a live service game, anything can happen people. Personally I would love it if they finally bent, distanced themselves from the malicious ways of the 90s, and finally added female Astartes.

Edit: The Jester awards only prove your own stupidity.

Hard to tell if this is bait or just fan tourism rearing it's ugly head again. This post just reads as a former tumblr porn fanfiction user who has gone like a wrecking ball to every major beloved IP to push some bizarre fetish.

"An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded."

Find another hobby.
ChatGPT says:
Here are 10 points to consider when discussing your point of view about the Space Marine 2 and 40K in general.

Lore Consistency: The Warhammer 40k universe has a deeply established lore that spans decades. Introducing female Astartes would require significant retconning of existing stories and characters

Imperium’s Nature: The Imperium of Man is a dystopian, xenophobic, and highly militaristic society. Its structure and values are intentionally designed to reflect the worst aspects of humanity, including extreme gender roles

Biological Constraints: The process of creating Space Marines (Astartes) involves specific genetic modifications that are currently only compatible with male biology in the lore

Representation Elsewhere: Female characters are present in other factions and roles within the Warhammer 40k universe, such as the Sisters of Battle (Adepta Sororitas), who are a prominent and powerful all-female military order

Satirical Nature: Warhammer 40k is a satirical setting that exaggerates the flaws of humanity. The lack of inclusivity is part of this exaggerated dystopia and is not meant to be aspirational

Creative Freedom: Fans are encouraged to create their own narratives and characters within the Warhammer 40k universe. This allows for personal inclusivity and diversity in fan-created content
.
Historical Context: The Warhammer 40k universe was created in the 1980s, a time when societal views on gender and sexuality were different. The lore reflects the cultural context of its creation

Game Balance: Introducing new types of characters, such as female Astartes, could impact the balance of the game, requiring extensive redesign and testing.

Community Evolution: The Warhammer community is evolving, and there are ongoing discussions about inclusivity. However, changes to core lore are complex and often controversial.

Alternative Media: Warhammer 40k has expanded into various media, including novels, video games, and TV series, where there is more room for diverse characters and stories.

Bait post is bait post. Answer shall remain no.
Just no, as the Saber interactive CEO Mat said in a youtube comment "Games are supposed to be fun and immersive' and since we all know 90% of gamers are not interested in gay ass ♥♥♥♥ as you can see by the amount of jester awards on this post.

I don't understand this modern obsession with "representation". Imagine playing ghost of tsushima and complaining there's no inuit representation. Like what, why? Its a game set in japan, why does everything have to be included.

If you hate art just say that. Art needs to be itself. Because otherwise it isn't art anymore. This is how we ended up with battlefield V. With black soldiers in the Nazi ranks, making 50% of all armies in WW2 female and/or disrespecting real historical figures because you wanted more female representation. But representation doesn't matter at all and only serves to destroy unique things. Nobody cares that there's no black people in the witcher games.
Suggesting any piece of media is inherently worse for not including any specific race or sex is what we call... discrimination.

Representation matters in politics. Real life things that harm real people. Everyone needs a voice. But this is not politics. Its a hobby. Stop dragging politics into everything. Some people just want to take a break from life after a hard day. GW already bent over for Amazon and made female custodes a thing. Which would be fine if it wasn't because Amazon wanted she-hulk style "strong female representation" in the live action movie. Nobody likes it when you smash politics (especially made up politics) through their hobby like a wrecking ball through a house.

In conclusion then. The OP is just sexist. Women are generally kickass in video-games and games with competent female leads come out all the time. The only people who are making gender and sexuality a problem are people like this. The rest of us don't hold something stupid like gender against someone or a piece of media. You can go away and claim women are weak and desperately "need" representation elsewhere.
Go play Tomb-raider or something. Lara has been kicking ass and taking names since 1997.

The Fun Thing is that representation only goes for Women for People Like OP. Not other Groups and Religions
Can't just mod the game the way you want?
Anybody who demand to redo lore that Contains 40k years of history.....seriously you know 1984? Changing history and stuff? So you want also to alter the last 200 years of human history because of the role of woman that not fit into your imagination. You find this doubleplusgood, i Know. But i find this very bad and dictatorshipy 😡
a grifter asking for "serious" replies? LMAO

Yeesh, we're getting bait in the bait? Some Inception level ♥♥♥♥ going on here
Because it is not 'Twitter the Game'. Respect the Lore
Simply no. No more altering movies, no more altering games, no more altering anything because of inclusion.
Serious Reply : No Female Astartes.

There are a bunch of badass female in Warhammer, and even some female only organzations such as Adeptas Sororitas and Callidus Temple.
So, Seriously, I'd rather ask a Callidus Assassin and Sororitas pairing in a video game, than see a lore twisting female Astartes.

I agree that not including women space marines is dumb. I genuinely don't understand why it's such a big deal to add them, to be honest. It makes sense to add them just to bolster the numbers of super humans needed to fight our numerous enemies.

With regard to LGBTQIA+, what exactly is expected, here? You want pride stickers on the pauldrons of your servant of galactic fascism? You want the trans flag waved high in the name of species supremacy and xenophobia?

I genuinely don't understand. The imperium is all about humanity being united under one banner and one cause. Even within lore and in the dark age of 40k, waving different flags around that aren't a veneration of the Emperor strikes me as heresy. An attempt to distract from the important task at hand; purging humanity's numerous enemies.

How would you want the gay/trans/non-binary community represented with this context? I'm genuinely curious.
1. Lore acurate
2. I think "modern slavery" or just slavery is much more acceptable term when it comes to imperium of man policy than democracy.
3. You forgot to include cannibalism in your "diversity" if you actually know on what 40k non-noble tier who live on non agricultural world actually eat.

The problem I have with the "lore accurate" argument is that 1. Lore is not written in stone but more importantly, 2. Players are already trying to convince the devs to break lore by allowing them to dress up their marines in ways that also break lore (I'm also in that club, by the way)

You can't argue "lore" in the specific ways that offend your sensibilities.
