Any tips for a solo sniper on extreme/substantial threat?

(Assuming i am using green equipment) I see no way to overcome chaos marines on normal solo, Trying to figure out how to fix my playstlyle so that i can clear solo as sniper. ammo basically non existance. no good horde clearer, not enough healing. I mostly use stalker and hardly use cloak as that is mostly an escape tool.

Cloak is way more than just an escape tool especially if you utilize the perk that activates it for free off of a perfect dodge, cloak increases the next attacks damage doesn't matter what the source is: Cloak headshot/ Cloak Melee and cloak Gunstrike are all amazing tools for sniper. Your best method of clearing hordes is severing synaptics by killing elites then using the knife to take care of any stragglers with a liberal use of charged attacks to let you regain armour. Parrying is your best friend with the sniper rifle because any parry that lets you gunstrike gives you ample time to land a headshot stagger loop afterwards.

Honorable mention to cloaking into a group of heavies and dropping a melta bomb then blowing it as you clear the edge of the group bc it's very powerful but rare to combo it out like that

One thing you should abuse as a solo sniper is the damage boast from your cloak. You don't lose your entire cloak bar if you stealth and then shoot someone quickly(I think you lose around 10-15%). Personally I find the chaos faction far more annoying to fight then the tyranids. If I remember correctly one of the las sniper varients alows you to execute a marine right after a head shot. This should up your armor sustain as well as conserve a bit of ammo.
