Power sword for Assault
Exactly as the title says, does anyone agree that the power sword should be added to assault class ? like solely on bulwark i think is a weird choice

agreed, being on the tactical class i think makes sense too, albeit not a melee focused class so could be considered too strong for pvp, but for operations definitely
Yes it should, if the chainsword can be why not the power sword. Most weapons should be pretty free for all. I hope they add the great axe and heavy chain sword. I need more big weapons
Been saying this since release, here & on Sabre forums.
Why don't we just have every weapon available on every class?

Individualized class flavor... obviously

Thus no, Power Sword on Assault sounds terrible.
Astartes overhaul mod is the only workaround. There really should be an armory free-for-all mode, perhaps even do it for horde.
I dont get the assault.
I feel like there's nothing it does that another class cant do much better, with much higher survival rate.

basically tactical should be using anything but the most specialized weapons , like Thunder Hammer and Heavy Bolter shouldnt necesarily be on tactical. Heavy Bolt Pistol i dont see why it couldnt either , much less all the pistols. tactical is literally that all arounder , but not a sniper (so no las fusil or bolt sniper rifle , and T.Hammer for assault , Heavy Bolter for heavy....though in my heart i still call it devastator =P)

Death From above , its got a big aoe nuke when played right , pretty strong for hordes , can hit a terminus that isnt a floater pretty hard too with a T.Hammer wielded)

i mean thats not how weapons work even in 40k , only exceptions being like Heavy Bolter (and other heavy weapons) and bolt sniper , heavies have their backpiece that literally connects to said weapon but forgo melee for it , and snipers are scout marines so using a sniper fits scouts better than a tactical for example) , mind you there are sniper options for a heavy like las cannon which also hooks into their back piece. they had that pvp game which is shut down now sadly but it was there and we saw how it worked. liiterally a sniper canon. there is no rule saying a tactical cant wield a power sword , it has no requirements to use anymore than chain sword. same with all the pistols.

The Assault class is a great class against Tyranids. I think this class is only 100% effective against Tyranids. Against Chaosites Assault class is noticeably weak in my opinion. It collects damage with its face almost all the time.

I hate that this game has tourist like this who un ironically think jump assault marines don't use power swords in lore and model representation. That the SOLE thing defining a class is the gun it's toting is utter stupidity.

I also like refering directly to people in third person, and not actually addressing the point they made (class flavor) while misrepresenting the lore vis a vis individual characters and what is effectively "named" noname grunts in the game.

Squad leader assaults (IE Sergeant) had access to better weaponry than the 9 guys under their command. Do you think the Assault you are playing in game is the Sergeant of the other 5 classes? Do you think that because they are named for game purposes, they are somehow special characters in the TT sense?
So which is it? Should all classes have all weapons and ignore TT rules completely, or is everyone playing a Sergeant, Lieutenant, or Captain in a 3 man squad composed of only Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains?

-A "tourist" with multiple 2-3k TT PAINTED armies and Codecies from 2nd ed and up on his shelf.

Titus is a Lt & the leader of the squad, so yeah, the player could feasibly have access. Also, the game is supposed to be about having fun in the 40K universe.
Weapon lockout has very little to do with classes in this game. It has to do with the devs wanting you to spend more time leveling each class so you can then spend more time leveling each of its weapons. The common theme is they want you to spend more time playing. I also want every class to use every weapon they conceivably could, but then someone would play a class with all the weapons, and not feel the need to play other classes.
