Does the game work with a HDD?
Yes, ive read the recomended specs, i am above the minimun requirements but i do not have a SSD, i would like to know if the game works fine without a SSD, not much of a pvp player, only coop and single player.

No, i will not buy one.
Yes, i know their cheap, but try buying one when your living in Argentina and with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ job.
Do not comment if your just gonna insult me for being poor.

it works fine but there is a lots of small loading phase in the game so it might annoy your teammate waiting for you ( or yourself for needing to wait longer than on a SSD )

It does, but dear God the load times are pain incarnate.

How long are we talking?

Not sure myself since I have it installed on an SSD, but i'd assume the only issues installing it on a HDD might be much longer load times and perhaps some stuttering? My SSD might not be the best cus it takes like 10-15 seconds to load into things (could also just be an internet thing on my end) but it takes a minute for the game itself to close when I quit out of it, but if that's how my SSD is performing then I do question how bad it might be on a HDD?

If you want to take the risk, you could buy the game and test it yourself (and if it doesn't work or runs terribly, you can refund it) if you're willing to spend £54.99-£89.99 to get the game?

How do people still NOT have SSD!? It's 2024... you can get GOOD, 1TB for less than $80. How can you afford this game, but not an SSD!? They are comparably, the same price!

Because of regional pricing the game was pretty cheap, i currently have a standard preorder, but if the game just runs bad, i will probably refund.

If you're used to HDD loading times, it probably won't be an issue.
Just don't have texture settings too high

Ive played many recent games on this hard drive (Dead Island 2, Warzone 3, Dying Light 2 and Helldivers 2, even the black ops 6 beta) and the loading times for me, arent really that horrible.

It shouldn't hurt to at least test it if you have it pre-ordered? If it doesn't work as well as you hope it would, you can just refund it assuming you do so before you hit the 2 hour playtime threshold?

Current early access is only available on Gold and superior editions, i have preordered the standard edition as i didnt think the extras on higher editions were quite worth it.

It's 2024, for the love of all that is holy please get an SSD. We don't want to be saddled with your year long load times. Games are being designed with SSDs in mind now finally consoles have them, just get one.

Will it work? Yes. Will it be a pain in the bottom to load? Yes. Will it have the performance you expect (even on the least amount of details)? Not really.

Yeah i was pretty late to getting an SSD so i'm used to longer loading times, doesn't bother me either. A lot of people have either only ever used SSD or just very impatient.

Read the games steam specs, unless you want to have crazy long loading times.
Oku Sep 8, 2024 @ 5:23pm
It runs but the loading times will take a hot minute unless you have texture resolution turned down, and even then it'll stake a minute, but if you're used to longer loading times it's not going to be much different from other modern games running off an HDD.
