how to upgrade each weapon to nxt tier?

i have a weapon that says mastery reached 1300/1300 but then i have sword xp says 940/28600, dont tell me i have to get 28600 xp to reach the nxt tier, because that is like 35+ matches i need to win before i can reach 1 rank???

Im not sure how the points work, but yes that tier xp bar needs to be filled up to progress.

I just got my bolt pistol up after just a few games to tier 2, so it does not take as long as you predict in your post.

I'm not %100 sure but I leveled my heavy bolter to max xp then used these coin things I got in the training room to upgrade it to the next tier and I can now select a new skin for it.
So you need to level it up and when its maxed use them coins they in the top right corner ofthe screen theres like 3-4 tiers of them one looks like a blue stamp but I have no idea where you get them other than the training rooms as I havn't played it enough yet

I'm not %100 sure but I leveled my heavy bolter to max xp then used these coin things I got in the training room to upgrade it to the next tier and I can now select a new skin for it.
So you need to level it up and when its maxed use them coins but I have no idea where you get them other than the training rooms as I havn't played it enough yet

Still figuring it out myself, but training only gives green, tier 1 quality. That becomes useless after first tier upgrades are all acounted for.

If recall right, you have to play on higher difficulties to get them.
