I know female players who love to play space marines for what they are. Have some self esteem and respect the lore, i dont think thats to much to ask. As a straight man, I have played "Tomb Raider" series with great joy. I have never thought of having a male Lara Croft option. If you like WH40K and if you want be a female character, there is WH40: Inquisitor Martyr/Prophecy game where you can buy a DLC to play as a Batte Sister.

No, because you don't get to come to an existing fandom and demand changes at the expense of existing fans.
I'm a fan of 40k for only about 3-4 years now, I don't get to dictate to people who were fans for 20+ years what should be changed about their hobby.

And considering how successful 40k is, there is no need to change.
One would need unheard of amounts of narcissism or delusion to think they can just join a fandom and suddenly know better than all the writers what needs to change or for their opinions to be valued any higher than an existing fan

There must be balance in the game. Each faction must be equally attractive and repulsive. Girls who want to play as a space marine have no idea who they want to associate themselves with. They have not seen the burnt Prospero, they know nothing about the burnt Monarchia, the planets on which these same guys who burn the Tyranids here burned people in the same way. Billions of burned children, women and old people. This is the very essence of Warhammer. If you build an imperium on modern principles of equality and humanism - what will players do for other factions? No one, not a single faction, should be too good. So that the Eldar / Orks / Tyranids could poke at this shortcoming and say - you yourselves are freaks, and for this we will enslave you / kill / eat you. This is honesty. And your immediate desire to make good boys (good girls) out of one of the factions is deeply unfair to the players of all the other factions. You are warriors of injustice!

considering how there are no female space marines i wonder HOW you wanna be represented.

i actually got a great idea whilst seeing your title (sorry only skimmed through your post as i rather used that time for my response) which i want to suggest to the devs:

how about you make a kitchen on the battle barge when expanding it with the content patch coming in season 3 so all the "girls" can cook meals for us space marines which in turn give us buffs whilst fighting the war against the tyranids :D this would solve the problem as everyone could contribute to the war effort and no one would feel left out :P :D

Warhammer 40k is indeed successful and beloved for many reasons, but that success doesn’t mean it can’t evolve or expand in new directions.

i wholeheartedly agree and had that in mind too when i got this idea. new directions are always great :D happy to see you agree with me here aswell :D
