VERY LONG LOADING TIMES
Hello I suffer from long loading times. "Loading resources", "connecting to server", all of it. I just started game. Before I get to main menu it will take 10 mins to load resources. Then I will press "continue" and wait another 10 minutes to load even more resources. I feel like in dwarfen mine, all I do is load resources.

Anyone else have simmilar problem or maybe found solution to this?

So basically I need to buy new harddrive and reinstal game - and so steam as well - on it...? It is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Just got new PC year ago, everything works perfectly except for this game.:/
new hardware yes, but your steam installation can stay where it is, you can install steam games on other drives too, it does not need to be the same one your steam installation is located.

for me that extremely long loading times were solved by installing the game on a SSD
Arkant Sep 8, 2024 @ 3:05am
Yep an SSD will solve it

If you built a new PC without an SSD, in 2024... Sorry, but that is on you.

Think of HDDs as a VCR, obsolete. Remove them from your computer. You can buy the most expensive HDD on the market and t's still 20x worse than the cheapest SSD.

The thing is hdd are not obsolete they are great for mass storage of things that don't need quick read/write like movies or "homework" folders

Guys, turned out I had SSD (512GB) in my PC already... just default hard drive for installing stuff was HDD (2TB) and I never had reason to bother changing it, this is first time.

I really appreciate your answers and help you offered, my chapter will never forget this.
I don't have many steam points left but I give you guys, who suggested me solution that will allow me to have even more fun from this game, small gifts as thank you token.

I respect your banners and mothers, THANK YOU once again.

i have 2xSSD M2, loading are like 10-20 min as well, . .
Skullmaker Sep 9, 2024 @ 11:30am
Using a M2 SSD as well, loading times are horrendous. Have a lot of people quitting in loading screen (in Operations) because it takes so long.
I actually have my installation on an SSD yet am still having the loading issues
Druark Sep 10, 2024 @ 8:23am
Load screens are super long regardless of SSD or an NVME SSD.

It's the game, likely the servers more than anything. They're the weakest link we have to wait for just to load in to Singleplayer (for some reason) as well as the other gamemodes.

Taking 30s+ for every load screen even just to join a squad is ridiculous. Combined with the end-of-game scoreboards or XP screens it can take nearly 5m between games which is just dumb.

For me moving game to HDD helped a lot, now I am on my battlehip in 1 minute max from running the game instead of 20 minutes. But I guess it's up to personal preferences if something is long or short if you know what I mean.
